The way to tell, from what I know, is from the bottom button.

A guy on here (just yesterday) told me that the Ameravape authentics have the AV logo on the bottom. The "Fuhattan" by "Ameraclone" has the 1/1 on the button, or nothing on the button (in the copper version at least). The clones by other companies have the Mickey Mouse middle finger on the button.

That said, I'm not positive what I was told is right, and I'm also in the market for a Fuhattan, but I want the one by Ameraclone, because it's one of the dudes who broke off from Ameravape because he disagreed with their business practices. I wanna support that guy.

My buddy's shop has one for sale and he owns one of the authentic manhattans. There is no logo on the button. The easiest way too tell that we have seen is that the authentic's magnet can hold the mod with atty when you stick it to something metal and let go. It has some seriously strong magnets. One of the regulars has 2 clones and neither can do this. Plus thickness and diameter of the tube is much thicker. I'm not sure the manufacturer of his clones but they are not impressive. I have heard a lot of great things about the fuhattan though.

It seems from the original post that the op is already aware the he is buying a clone and not debating if it IS a clone. Correct? Beyond that, I can't help ya.
yes I know its a clone that I am buying but I just wanted to know I guess if it was fuhattion or cheaper look alike by an unknown manufacturer ...he selling it to me $20 brand new said its a 1:1 but didnt specify where its from and the fuhattions ive seen locally are $100+

I'm not sure what the manufacturer is either obviously, but from what I know the "Ameraclone" Fuhattans have strong enough magnetics to stick the mod to stuff. Also, from what I know, the Ameraclone Fuhattans have vent holes. The authentic Ameravape Manhattan and the non-Ameraclone versions do not.

Lastly, it seems that the Ameraclone copper Fuhattan is available for 50$ here. This one definitely looks legit.

..., he paints all the mods he sells?? Sounds shady as ..... Why, and with what, nail polish?! There's no way to request for an unpainted mod? It's not a coloring book lol

I don't know what clones you're referring to but all the clones I've seen of the Manhattan can do that without a problem...

Pretty sure it would fall into the latter category, since the engraving is on the 510 connection end of the device instead of the switch end like it is on the fuhattan and the original. Also, what's the button look like, that will help narrow it down further

I've seen 4 Manhattan clones come into my local shop and none can hold against the tool box side ways without falling. Just what I've seen personally. Also all I've seen are only 22mm.
