ok so at first i really didn't like the auto I mean i have 3 manuals and one auto but the lil bugger is growing on me...

there wasn't a stiff enough draw on it i didn't think but just got my new diamond endcap and it seems to have made the draw stiffer not sure why but I'm starting to like my auto more and more now.

anyone have an idea why this would be and what are your thoughts on auto vs manual

I like them both but I got two white auto battereis for use during those situations where I want people to think I am smoking a cig. That way I can hold them more naturally and not be looking for a button to push.

I swear the manual is a bit nicer because you get you get a bit of a bigger hit. Could be my imagination.

I got 4 autos & two manuals. I really like the autos but I got no problem with the manuals. Not really sure why I like the auto better since nearly everyone likes the manuals more. Perhaps because I don't have to hold it a certain way, who knows.

I don't have an X2 yet tho. Mostly because I'm trying to pull the budget back but also because I can't decide whether to get a man or auto. I'll get one eventually, probably one of each. :)

i love my autos in all sizes.

I'm more of an auto guy myself.......I have tried the clearos on both x2 manual and x2 auto and I honestly prefer the auto. I'm not trying to suck the usb port through the battery though, the hits are plenty big on both. I thought after reading posts that I would find some mystical magic with the manual but I guess everyone is different.

On my first order a couple of weeks ago, I intended to order 2 autos...but I made a mistake and ordered 1 of each. I'm so glad I did because I like the manual so much more. I've bought more batteries now, and the auto is just a backup. The manual just seems like a more natural draw...except for the button thing. Just can't seem to get used to the auto.

Well, while I certainly believe that future is all automatic , these days you still need manuals as well.

Autos are wonderful when they work, but you definitely need manual if:

1. U want to dry burn a clearo.

2. Your carto or clearo has stiff draw. Some carto/clearos have stiff draw from day 1 (i.e. it's a manufacturing defect; btw I wonder if there is a way to fix it) while others develop it after multiple refills. Ideally you'd just toss them, but if u want to suck every penny out of them like I do  - manuals are indispensable here

All in all, Like many others have said here, I prefer my 78s in automatic and X2s in manual.

PS: batteries are not the same either. I currently have 2 78mm automatics and one is just perfect while the other has a somewhat airy draw.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Being lazy I like my autos, both 78mm and X2-650. I almost bought an X2-650 manual on my order today to dry burn clearos with. Now I figured out if I take the end cap off and blow gently with quick puffs I can dry burn a clearo or a CE3. Just do it in a mirror so you can see what you're doing and you don't need the manual.

I started out with 2 manual 78's and one auto. I ended up giving away my manuals, as well as a USB charger, to a family member who works at a bar that no longer allows smoking. She had been using disposables, but much preferred my Volts, and I had just switched to the X2's and thought I wouldn't use the smaller batteries anymore. I still use my 78 auto quite a bit though, and was thinking of getting a second one. The draw on it was way too airy, which is one of the reasons I decided automatics weren't for me. I had to suck in so much air with such force to get it to fire and I thought that was normal. Recently I modified it by breaking off a toothpick tip through one of the air-holes and now it's awesome.

I've been wondering about an automatic X2 but haven't had the guts to try it out. I figure they're so big anyway, it's harder to hold one like a cigarette (or a cigar in this case), so it doesn't seem like it'd be much of an advantage over the manual. One of these days, when I have more money, I might go ahead and order one.

Dry burning with an auto is as simple as taking off the end cap and blowing through it. (Do this in the mirror so you can see the clearo of course).

I prefer my 78mms in auto just because it feels like a cigarette. My X2s are 2 of each, I got 2 black autos because I assumed I preferred autos. When the blue and purple came out I couldn't get the 650mah in auto, so got the manuals and expected not to like them. It took about an hour to get used to them and now I strongly prefer the X2s in manual. My autos have been retired except for trial use for local folks that want to try vaping.

I'm still in that exploring stage.... I love hearing about everyones experiences it really gives me perspective.. I starteed with manuals from a different vendor because I didn't like the draw of the disposable i tried out from a gas station .... i love them but the battery life kind of sucks... but then i discovered Volt... waaaaay better now i have one manual and one auto 78... and i gotta say i like both equally and both by far outweigh anything i had before them....

I'm irritated with the cartos i got and waiting till i can order again pd friday so woohoo I'm excited that I'm going to try the ce3's as they seem so way cooler and a better way to go from all my research ... might have to get another man and auto though so i got back ups, definitly need more juice
