Manual Battery Confusion?

Just ordered my Halo G6 e-cig starter kit a few days back and accidentaly ordered 2 manuals thinking that they were automatics (Newbie thing to do). Should i change my order and is it that big of a difference between automatic e-cig and manual? Can you hit a manual e-cig or the only way you can take a drag is from holding the button?

The only way is to push the button, but I think you made the best mistake a noob can make! I too thought I wanted auto's and that's what I bought. When I got into cleaning and refilling my cartomizers I bought a manual for "dry burning" and absolutely love them and won't buy anything else now. You get a quicker on demand hit with the manuals. Otherwise you have to wait for the battery to activate with a longer slower pull.

Keep the manuals! For the reasons Calico stated above and because manuals are sealed and autos are not, so you can get juice leaking into an auto battery and it will screw em up. No worries with the manual. You will not even think the button is a problem at all -- youre holding the device anyway, only you have a button under one finger -- easy peasy!

Good choice. Altho I love autos I do have a manual when I get a carto that I have overfilled so I don't kill my battery. I use Halo G6 too, love it, and I did kill one auto batt from a leaky carto, so you did good. If you want to try an auto just order an extra and see how you like both types. I have 6 of the G6 batts and 3 chargers so I am always in charged batts. Enjoy! bnrk

I've only tried a dry burn on my atty's. Wouldn't dry burning a carto just singe it, and cause it to taste like crap?

I like both. One of each would have been nice. The new autos have come along way, and sometimes I just get tired of hitting the button. Anyway, most of us have more than one model and I'm sure you will too. Part of the fun:)

I agree with this. The auto lets you smoke hands free which is fun, you don't get as much smoke. though so I think it's ideal to have one of each.

I only use manuals. Manuals are harder to damage or kill with juices leaks and make it easier to get a good hit. I tried an auto (like G6) and to me it sucked compared to manuals. I had to take 2 drags into my mouth with an auto then inhale to get the same hit as 1 drag on the manual.

You press in the button 1 second before you start your drag, start dragging, let up the button right before the end of your drag, inhale. And no you cannot just drag to make it work.

Most people on ECF use and recommend manual batteries.

And you do NOT dry burn stuffing cartomizers.

If you want to test juices on a manual KR808D-1 (like G6 manual) use a standard resistance DSE901 atomizer and drip tip (LiteCigUSA.net). And only put juices you know you like that have suitable thinness, into cartomizers. I use PG w/ 10-20% VG and I avoid juices that drop a lot of flavoring sediment.
