Has anyone had a problem with the new manual long batteries cutting off within a few seconds? It doesn't seem to have enough time to heat up the atomizer properly...so there's not much vapor. Am I doing something wrong here? I've always preferred the manual batteries with my other devices, but I'm not finding that to be the case with my VK. Is there some sort of a special technique that I need to know about?

Hmmmm
That's strange. Do you have more then one manual battery? If so, are they all doing that or just the one? Mine has a 5 second cut off, but that is plenty for me. Are you giving a primer puff? Can you press the button and time how long it takes before the light goes off? Mine is pretty dead on 5 seconds.

Try this... hold the button down for a sec and then release then press again as you bring to your lips and draw.

Thanks for the reply JenJen. No, this is the only manual battery I have for my VK. Mine appears to have a 4 second cut-off, and while this is normally enough for me, it doesn't seem be enough time to heat up the carts enough to produce any vapor. I've tried different carts (thinking this might be a factor), but it doesn't seem to make a difference in the vapor production. Using the same cart, the vapor production is wonderful with one of the automatic batteries, but barely exists with this new manual.

:) RyGuy. You know, it's funny you mentioned that. Even though I knew it was fully charged, I checked it again! I was really disappointed that this wasn't working out. I loved the idea of the extra long life, and based on past experience, I thought I'd like the manual battery better than the automatic. Is there anyway to override the cut-off?

Steve is absolutely the greatest, and I have no doubt that he would replace it without question if I mentioned it. At this point, I'm just trying to figure out if all of the manual batteries are like this...or if this one is malfunctioning...or if it's me! JenJen, do you get just as much vapor out of your manual batteries as you did with the automatics?

More actually. I loved the auto batteries, but find I am using my manuals all the time now.

Just mention it on your next order, I send you a new one:D

Gotta keep ya smilin

Steve:cool:

Rugger, I bought two and have this issue with one of mine as well. I quoted Steve because I have no doubt that he will help us out as he mentions. Just speaking up so you don't feel alone...LOL! These batteries are brand new, so there is the inevitable kink in the program. I am just glad I purchase from Steve, because he really stands behind his products. I have spent hundreds of dollars with him and this is the first issue that I have had. Steve will have us SMILIN in no time!

I had some curious things happen at first with the manuals i got, but those kinda straightened themselves out.

i'd push the switch and either get no vapor or get it for a sec then quit...button needed broken in i guess works great now. and i had one stick on once..but only once...same battery.

The button requires firm mashing...no playin around, push it..its not like a 901 rubber bouncy button of frequent loss...you gotta push to ignite

One of my manuals also gets "sticky." Press it to get going but the green light will dim right away. I usually would hold my PV with my palm (not my fingers) so I would not notice anything until the end when I get no vape.

This happens once in a while and is not that big of a deal for me. I hope that the problematic batt would work itself out.

I am hoping Steve gets me a new PT though - mine died after two weeks of work (?). I am planning on using the PT all day long once I get my Kensington 1800mAh usb battery pack charger. :D

Are the new, extra long lasting batteries physically larger than the regular ones? I'm deciding on a kit and that info would be helpful.

About an inch longer, but feels very comfortable in your hand. At least it does in mine. You could probably charge it in the PCC charger, but would have to leave it open because it would stick out ;)

I love mine, and find I am using it more and more. I will probably switch soley to the extra longs when they get the PCC in for it!

Trust me I am a good masher - promise!!!! I have two batteries and one works great. Otherwise I would be convinced it was user error.:D

I'm thinking about getting the "Special Kit" that has 2 Large batteries (the new long lasting ones I assume) but no PCC, and between having AC and USB chargers and a passthru (and maybe a USB car adapter), I could get by without the PCC. What do you think?

Yes you could. Would definately keep the USB charger and car adapter in the car though, and carry two batteries - don't want to be caught without a battery! 8-o

I will be thrilled when they get a PCC for the extra longs - I find that I am using them more then the regulars. I like the way they feel in my hands! And how long they last.

I have 2 USB pass-throughs (1 @work, 1 in car), plus 2 of the regular-size batteries and an AC charger. I find that my batteries will run out if I go out for dinner and drinks after work, but if I'm just lazing around the house I can keep one on the charger and all is fine.

I think with 2 of the extra long batts, you should be fine without a PCC.
