is there an easy way to do a manual conversion, or should I just buy a 510? could I just put a 510 battery on the rest of a m401? I have not even gotten my 401 yet, I can just tell I think I would like a manual e-cig better. I like things simple.

Yeah, I'd like a manual switch version too. Apart from the obvious, it would also sort out the main problem of the M401 - the accidental noise activation.
I believe there is an easy way, I just haven't tried it yet.
I did make a manual passthrough from a non mic switched passthrough already.
The USB passthrough was just a battery case without the battery.
I'm pretty sure you could just connect the negative battery terminal on the LED end to a switch, and just short the other switch terminal to the case and it would work. Worked on my pass through.
Radio shack makes a 1.5A switch that fits almost perfectly in the end of a battery case.
