What are the differences? I hear a manual battery is better because you decide how long you drag and how much battery you're using... However, the automatic battery's are more expensive?

Also, what's the difference between the Janty eGo and JOYE eGo? I've heard mixed reviews. People saying they wish they went with JOYE, some with Janty and even some people saying they're made at the same exact place/people.

What's best? I'm trying to prevent myself a bad experience. :)

I like manual's myself. I know the manual 4081's were more expensive then the auto's but thats the only type I compared prices on. With the ego types most are manuals I think the only way you can get an auto is ordering from China.

Main difference between most of the ego type systems is some of the hardware on the battery itself, Joye has a hard button and silver colored hardware, some of the others use a rubber button and gold colored hardware. Also some difference in the battery strength's standard Ego is 650mah, the Riva's are 750mah. If I were buying a kit today I'd go with who's offering the best deal at the moment which is probably liberty flights Riva kits for $30.

IMHO, manual batteries are superior for a couple of reasons:
1) Manuals allow you to choose how long your drag is. They still have a cut-off, but it's far longer than an automatic.
2) Manual batteries are sealed, meaning there isn't a hole at the top. This means your battery won't be ruined if you flood the atty and you can drip with them. If you get juice inside an automatic, you've just ruined that battery.
3) Manual batteries only operate when you push the button. They won't be activated by sound or wind like some automatic batteries.

I picked up 2 Joye eGos with the manual battery. I think they work great and haven't smoked a cigarette since
:)
The other guy is right about automatics 'smoking' themselves. When I had another brand it was an auto and even driving in the car with the radio off and the windows up it would constantly smoke itself.

HAHA. Wow, that sucks big time!

And it's still compatible with my Joye 510 just like the eGo would be???

They are essentially the exact same thing except for the button and tad more battery life the Riva offers. So since the Riva at LF is priced at $30.00 I'd say that's the way to go. That's what I would do.

some feel the attys are a little differant between the two manufactuers. The warenties can be differant too, but I think you would enjoy both the Riva and the Joye. Don't forget to use the discount code for ECF forum members, 20% off the standard listed online prices!

What!?!? Are you serious? How to I redeem this??? Thank you very much for mentioning that!
