MAP tanks for newcomers

i read somewhere (don't remember where) about a MAP tank not being ideal for a newcomer. any reason for this?

No , if you want one , get it ! Not all new comers need to take baby steps . If you smoke a pack a day or more & can get rid of the idea of something that looks like a real cig ............... Get a mod & a tank , save your money . Read some of my posts on here , you'll understand & read as many posts as you can , do the research & then decide whats good for you . Don't let being a newcomer stop you from buying what you want

Recommendations regarding equipment for newbies is often made to keep the frustration levels low while they are just starting out.

Tank mods in general SOMETIMES will take a little fussing around to work properly. Thicker or thinner juice, wick adjustments, o-rings, etc.... to wick just the right amount of juice so it doesn't burn, and doesn't flood.

The MAP tank is a solid mod, and if you have a feel for the right juice flow, and adjustments a tank is great. If you do decide to try one, go for it, and ask questions if you do run into issues.

I agree with Stosh. If a new person to vaping has a good 1st experience they will continue to vape and then look for something better later. If they have a bad 1st experience they may just give up and go back to cigarettes. Then again, they might just chuck it and look for something better. We don't know which type of person we are dealing with here so it's better to recommend something that will be hassle free. A lot of people have had problems with tanks. There's a learning curve that some people don't have the patience for.
