If you decide to get a clone of the Maraxus, just make sure you get one of the ones that allow you to get inside of the bottom cap if the spring ever needed to be replaced. I noticed on my clone that the plastic insulators on both the top and bottom caps do not have the two holes in them like most of them do. I don't think it's possible to get inside of the cap without destroying it.

When buying the current clone you WILL have to modify it so you don't get a hot button. You will need to replace the spring and fit a brass or copper washer between the bottom derlin cap and the spring to get a stable connection. That's assuming you get a mod with the removable derlin cap. The current clones are horrible AND SEEM TO ONLY GET WORSE. I personally regret buying the clone as it is horribly made and not worth the metal its made out of. Currenly its a really cool looking paper weight sitting on my bar at home.

Should but never had em. I have AW IMR 18650's an love em.

IMHO, those are currently the second best on the market, I do believe my VCT4's last a little longer the the 5's before they drop off. Second would be the LG's. The vct last about 45min-1:15 longer than my LG's and MNKE's. And yes I used them in my maraxus before it ...... me off.

I had to modify mine, button was getting hot as hell.
Made a brass washer for the switch, between spring and delrin, also changed the spring to a copper spring in a bigger guage.

I also sanded the posts and the SS peice the button sits in, there was visable gashes from machining.

then I cleaned it all up with contact cleaner.
Hits hard everytime, no more burning finger, and no voltage loss.
Using vtc4 bats, crown RDA, dual coil @ .4 ohms

Hey, thanks for the info there. I have a Maraxus that I picked up in January that is still my main mod and hits very well. Ordered a new one from FT about a month ago and the switch doesn't always fire and when it does the voltage drop is horrendous. Going to try this fix out to see if I can get that corrected.
