Wow, that's a really short life! I love the idea of the notch coil. It's too bad it doesn't perform like you would think it would. There seems to be a lot of that happening again right now. We went for quite a while between "bad coil design" phases!

The notch coil works great in the Theorem RTA though. I think the issue is that in a tank coil, the cotton goes around the outside of the coil while in a RTA/rda, the cotton goes inside the coil. Also, the first notch coils were huge (5 mm diameter) so if you have one of those inside a coil, you don't have much cotton wrapped around the outside of the coil.

I thought that price was too good to be true! The sale has been going for 2 days and now I know why they still have them in stock, lol! That's ridiculous.

It still comes out cheaper than getting it elsewhere, even with the shipping. Fasttech is still selling them for $52.

Aaah, that make sense. I can see where wrapping the cotton around the outside would make it perform much differently, especially if there is nothing to hold the cotton around the notch coil (like a sleeve of some sort).

I waited too long. I would have done it if the shipping hadn't been so high. It's okay, though. I didn't actually NEED it, lol. I will find my squonker yet!
