Okay here's my initial idea. (Can't find a Residence Inn yet....) If we move it to just a little further north to Ardmore there is a Candlewood Inn that has a one bedroom suite, with full kitchen and living area without bed to take up space because of separate bedroom. I've stayed at plenty of Residence Inns, traveling with friends and bunches of Mastiff crates, with gobs of room to spread out but the Candlewood Inn is the only thing I've found this morning looking.
I'll rent the one bed-room and plan on staying the night and anyone else who wants to stay over there will be room for several. (Give me a corner and I can sleep propped up in a corner so I'll be glad to let anyone(s) use the bedroom and sofa bed. Recliner also. Haven't looked further but a suite situation would be great. Others, who don't want to drive back home and who don't want to do slumber party could book a room there or near by. And maybe they have adjoining rooms but haven't checked that out yet.
Also thinking we could do a pot luck with food and snacks. BYOB whether filtered water, colas, teas, beer, etc. If someone has a big capacity coffee maker that would be great. We can make this easy and cheap. I'll bring ground coffee and deviled eggs sweetened a bit with low glycemic agave. We can work out details later.
Also, the Inn has a two grill covered cookout area by the pool so we could consider a cook-out. Ya'll keep looking for something with bigger living area. Like I said, the Residence Inns I've stayed in have huge living area downstairs, full kitchen, one bedroom downstairs and one up. Would be great if there was a RI near Ardmore or close.
