MCV mods just stop firing?

A few months back I bought a panzer clone (Infinite) and LOVED it! Sadly, I changed the battery one day and it just stopped working. It would fire sporadically at first, then nothing. Tried different addys and batteries, but nothing worked. Shopping for something that would hit equally as hard, I came across MCVs Overdose and decided to give it a whirl. Again, I went cheap and got a clone, this time an EHPro. Again, loved it! But it was only a week before the same thing happened. Changed the battery and nothing.

Ive taken them apart, cleaned everything, looked and looked but I can't figure out what the problem is. They DO work if I can hit the button just right, on the edge, in just a few spots, but that's no fun :(

Help?

Chipotle.
There is dirt or grime built up somewhere in the conductive path, I would look at the sides of the switch hole bore first, anything that is black or charred looking needs to be removed completely from both the contacts and the batteries you're using. I own plenty of clones and authentic mods and they can both stop working if you neglect to clean them. Tear everything down 100%, the switch, the top cap, the tubes and clean everything extremely thoroughly, every surface needs to be very clean!
