Me & BF Quitting at 30 - lots of ?s 2 weeks in

Fulfilling joint promise to quit at 30 with BF - we've been cutting back cigs over last two weeks, and today is first cig-free day in about 10 years :)
1. I need something light for daily use (bad hand problems) and using G6 Halo. I like it, don't need more vapor production or anything more substantial thus far. Would like advice on cheapest way to get new 808 cartos - Revolution Road order on the way, about 20 for $20, seemed like as good as it might get. Suggestions welcome for super lightweight alternatives :)
2. BF has Vaporfi Pro kit 1000 mha batt and nice large clearomizer. He likes so far - but I just saw their price on new atomizers (5 for $15 and he's already killed one at week 2) - am I stuck paying $15 every other month with this company's outrageous shipping rates? I love their juice, but not enough to spend that much money on replacements if I can help it. New clearo and atomizer suggestion for him to use with the battery would be appreciated.
3. I would love to try dripping to experience a lot of new flavors (it's what is keeping me motivated so far) - doesn't seem visible to drip on my G6. Recommendations for small battery and atomizer, 306 v. 510, where to buy online - there are no vape shops near me that don't seem like rip-offs or head shops with a bunch of stock they don't seem to know...

I really like Vaporfi Cola and cherry coke flavors so far, as well as Vapor HQ Red American. Mt. Baker flavors like mimosa and pink champagne are delicious but seem pretty week, and with no vapor at 50-50. My Freedom Smokes had brilliant tobacco favors, but didn't notice that everything is 80-20 - no vapor produced at all :( My Freedom Smokes' Pall Mall and Highbrow's Highbrowbacco are the most disgusting to date. Looking for suggestions on coke, cherry coke, 7 up, cherry that isn't at all medicinal, champagne's, anything fizzy and fun :) Thanks for any help

Q#1 I dont know.
Q#2 i would recommend a kayfun light+, you can buy pre wicked coils to re-build it when you need to. go with a 1.8 ohm or higher. 50 of them is 5-10 bucks. There's videos on youtube of how to do it.

Q#3 you can use a smoktech octopus rda, they go for around 10 bucks(rebuildable dripping atomizer) on any ego twist or vision spinner battery, and you can use the same pre coiled wicks i mentioned above for it.

you can find any of that stuff pretty much at any online vendor, check the forum sponsored ones.

youtube is your friend, check out those items and see if they will work for you.

For something small, easy to use and dont break the bank look into the Vision Spinner II batteries, they get great reviews just beware of clones. As far as tanks I really like my Kangers. I have several of the mini pro tank 3s and evod glass as well as a full-size Aerotank, they arent too expensive and work pretty dang good. The BDC(bottom dual coil) heads are also easily re-built to a single coil that way you dont have to keep buying replacements.

The Nautilus tanks also get good reviews with the BVC heads, I have a full size and while the flavor is indeed great I just prefer my Kangers.

If you want to get into rebuilding you will need some supplies as well as do some reading to understand ohms law and battery safety but it isnt too hard with some practice. There are plenty of threads on here as well as plenty of how-to videos on Youtube plus there are plenty of folks here for support along the way so dont be afraid to ask.

As far as juice that is up to everyones opinion but I really like Killer Juice, they do weekly deals from Wednesday to Sunday with blitz sales including .99 cent 15 ml bottles and their shipping isnt bad either. I currently have well over 1,000 mls of Killer Juice stashed away.

Congrats for getting off the cigarettes as its not easy but you have came to the right place, Happy Vaping!

Thanks for the help! In trying to determine whether to go for an MVP, I realize I cannot remember high school physics so well - anyone have a link to the basics of vaping and wattage, ohms, etc? A lot of this is flying right over my head.
Also: anyone have similar issue with moving to all vaping: my stomach feels like it's been dipped in acid more and more after last few days, kind of like being nic'd out on too many smokes - if I intend to vape as much frequency wise, I suppose I need to dial down the nicotine level, huh?

First of all relax. Nobody cares if you even have a cigarette. You won't want one soon if you just find something that delivers a consistent vape. When you do (there are many) just keep it up with 18mg 50/50 vg/pg every time you have an inkling to smoke and in about two days to a week you won't be a smoker anymore. Visit a vape shop or talk to someone online to get a good commercial product. Very few people build coils or wick or study ohms law, in fact, I don't think most of that group even smoked tobacco.

A good idea to get an mvp2.
Get a kit so it comes with a tank; I don't think your halo tank would fit on it.

Yes dial down the nic level, or better yet, keep 2 tanks handy; small one with the high nic and a regular one with the lower nic.

You don't need to rebuild to drip, and personally I don't like to bombard new comers with that stuff. Sure, anyone can do it, but looking over all the egos, APVs, tanks, cartos and juice is enough to drive most people NUTTS! IMO

With that, MVP2 with the nautilus mini is my number one recommendation for people new to vaping, it's a great setup. The tank that comes with the MVP is "eh". It's not great, but it's not terrible either. Will make a decent backup if all your other stuff breaks! Haha but even with a crappy tank, the MVP from 101vape is a great buy!

If you want to drip, check out the hh357. Google around for it, I don't have one, but all I've ever heard is it's a great dripper for testing tons of flavors. You simply blow it out to clear the last flavor. Again, I have no experience with them, but watch a few YouTube videos on them and you will see the rave reviews they get.
I don't use cartos either, but I think I've read bouge makes good blanks. You just fill it with your own juice and it's good to go. Or so I've read.

I did not read the other replies, but here goes. Avoid a dripper at all costs if money is tight. You will blow through juice 4-5 times faster easily. Clearomizers are the way to go. I found the kanger bottom dual coil designs to be the best flavor and vapor, easy to manage and you can even rebuild the coils on them easier than other clearomizers. Kangar makes a glass version of their bdc, try that on any 510 moderated battery and you'll be good to go. Don't sweat the battery too much, and I would not bother with a variable voltage, it'll just frustrate you and get adjusted on accident all the time. Get a good 800-1000mha 510 battery and a kanger atomizer, you'll be happy with it.

i second the the nautilus suggestion, which makes great clouds and the adjustable air flow is nice. The only issue is its flavor is less then the kangers I found. I used both before moving up to the kayfuns and mech mods.

i smoked for a week while I was transitioning to vaping. Last week I found an old pack of cigarettes that I totally forgot I bought as I was transitioning. Before you know it, you'll hate the smell of cigarettes too, although the stigma still follows you with vaping, at least you will know you are smoke free.

thanks for the model recommendation on dripping atty - that was well rated in another part of the forum. Got a Pro Tank that was on sale on 101 vape - perhaps next paycheck will splurge for the snazzier Nautilus since they seem so well loved. Not really studying all the rebuilding and such - my luck I'd burn the house down lol.
My choice Halo G6 is all about weight - I type for a living and have really bad cts, perhaps some other hand issues. More about not lugging something heavy from one room to another, always having a lightweight way to smoke. Button depression not an issue on this, but I would think I might have problems with certain setups I've seen if I used those all day long.
Thanks again - wandering over to ready more about e juices :D

+1 on MVP and Spinner II recommendations. I own both of these and they have treated me very well. The MVP is easily the better of the two. Your BF won't be disappointed. For clearomizers I like Aerotanks by Kanger. Adjustable airflow is a must for me. If you want to add this to your protank you can purchase an adjustable airflow base separately. You can get the adjustable airflow base here, and from other vendors as well.

As for juice - keep in mind your tastes will likely change as you move away from cigarettes. Buying smaller quantities as you are figuring out what pops for you is not a bad thing. I am just diving in with Nicoticket, so I can't give a personal recommendation on them yet. But Kent and the guys are all over the forums and are a very cool bunch of folks. They are definitely worth checking out. For fruit flavors I have been loving on Dripeez recently. Their green apple and golden apple are simply amazing.

Have yourself a happy vape and welcome to ECF.

Hi! Just wanted to say hi before I start dishing out advice! lol

I started out vaping on the G6 from Halo. I have hand issues like yourself because of my previous jobs. The G6 was really lightweight. I only used the pre-filled cartos that came with my starter kit. After that I was all about the mini tanks. They're easier to fill and they're super lightweight compared to the heavier cartos.

Once I was comfortable enough I upgraded to a K100 that I paired with a Protank II and from that a Vamo V5 with the Aspire Nautilus or the IGO-T (when I drip). I tell you all this because half the time I'm just wishing I had kept my G6 instead of giving it away to my aunt. The K100 and Vamo V5 are easy to use with my hands but when it comes to the tanks if it wasn't for the Mister I would never change out flavors or be able to fill them.

Also if it wasn't for the Mister I wouldn't be able to drip. He does my builds for me because of my hand issues.

As far as eliquids go for your coke flavors I would suggest DIYFlavorShack. I think they have some of the best coke flavors out there. Also try some Lava Flow from them!
