5 wraps of 22ga - 2mm ID
(approximate size using typical blue screw driver ) would be around .24ish - .27ish each coil x 2 coils = .12Ω to . 135Ω
If you're using 2 coils resistance is halved, 2 .3Ω coils = .15Ω

4.2 / .15Ω = 28a, not safe using 20a CDR cells.

That is unless you're a magician and somehow made 2 .6Ω coils with 5 wraps of 22ga.
2 .6Ω coils = .3Ω
My reply ended up on a new page guess I'm a magician

I'm just trying to help & keep you safe.
You don't provide enough info to do much with.

22ga 3mm ID 5 wrap = .32Ω each / 2 coils = .16Ω
22ga 2mm ID 6 wraps would be around .3Ω each x 2 coils = .15Ω

To get .3Ω using dual coils & 22ga would take 2 .6Ω coils 3mm ID about 10 wraps each.
Something aint adding up.

I wrapped 22g 7 times on 3mm driver then pulled two wraps off to make it a 5 I installed both pinched tweaked made sure proper glow I took the topper off the mech put on a eleaf i stick 50 ohm read .3 I then took it off to double check on my fluke multimeter by probing the "positive" pin or screw on bottom n the "negative" threaded part of the bottom of topper that pic was the results same as the istick .3

Lookin at steam engine I think I got it got two coils both have 5 wraps to them if it was one continuous coil would be ten wraps at .3ohm so by havin 5 on one side 5 on other its .6 each n divide by two ya get .3

Please....please learn how to properly calculate parallel resistance. Here's a good link I just Googled.

Parallel Resistor Calculator R1 + R2 = equivalent resistor R resistance circuit equiv total resistor finder made easy piggyback = parallel - sengpielaudio Sengpiel Berlin

If you mount two 0.3 ohm coils in parallel you will have 0.15 ohms total resistance. You are still too low.

I mounted two.6ohm 5 wrap 22g kanthal 3.7v .3 ohm 12 amps using the 25r I'm well below safe now the alien Clapton i got are .25 each .125 total 25r batt can't handle that n the vertibraids I made one is .2 so both are .1 for these two sets I will need regulated mod which I'm debating smok alien, wismec 300, IPV 8 or vesta all 4 can handle these builds just undecided I can get a cherry bomb unreg mod for 50 but a dual batt mech wouldn't be good for them two batts 7.4v .1 ohms 74 amps 7.4 .125 59 amps and both batts is maybe 45-50 amp

Sorry if I misunderstood. That sentence is a little hard to follow, but yes, the 25r should be safe with 0.3 ohms total. You are on the right track with using the lower builds on a regulated device. I'm afraid I can't really suggest anything for you as I am strictly a high ohm MTL guy. I do use mechs but my usual build wouldn't tax a 10A battery. Good luck and stay safe.

I might not be understanding what / how you're doing this, to get .6Ω from each coil using 5 wraps of 22ga the ID of each coil would have to be 6.5mm / .25 of an inch.
You said you used 3mm mandrel 5 wraps 22ga /3mmID = .3Ω each coil.
.3Ω each / 2 = .15Ω

The dual coil results info box (lower right corner) on steam engine that shows 10 wraps is for each coil.
You can double check that by modeling a single .6Ω 22ga 3mmID coil. ---> Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators
A single 22ga 3mm ID coil takes 10 wraps ~ .6Ω
.6Ω each /2 = .3Ω

Then modeling a single .3Ω 22ga 3mmID 5wrap ---> Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators
A single 22ga 3mm ID takes 5 wraps ~ .3Ω

I have no idea why your istick or dvom shows .3Ω, you never mentioned what rba this is using.

When using a mech you should use the fully charged voltage of 4.2v when calculating battery amp draw.
4.2 /.3 = 14a, still well within the safe range using 20acdr cells.

When using a regulated power device calculating battery amp drain is done differently.
W/V = A per cell.
At the low voltage cutoff amp demand will be highest.

picture not turning out cant find my macro lenses ugh, just made a pair of vertibraids 26g one coil is.5ohm. so I will definitely invest a n regulated mod box cause .25 ohm is still pushing the batts
Welcome and glad you joined. Might want to look into 3 bat reg mods?
