i am trying to figure out which one i would like. i already have a VT mod the eVic VT but i want to upgrade on that.

i like VW's but at times im just simply tired of messing around with the wattage. i don't mind warm vapor i've gotten used to it. i use subohm coils only and am looking to switch from flavor chasing to cloud chasing and just simply keep my evic for flavor chasing/on the go.

any opinions which i should look into investing in. i will be owning this mod for probably a year at the least maybe longer if it lasts that long. currently am looking at Snow wolf 200wat for the VW mod Mech mod i'd like a box mod and was looking at the tug boat box mods but i am open to other box mods if suggested.

Here is the evolution of a vaper in my opinion, from my own and many other peoples experience.

Ego type---> Low powered vw/ VV device----> Mech Mod---> Lots of Mech mods-----> High powered VW device and/or temp controlled device

My opinion, skip the Mechs. Just get in to the high powered Devices, Safer, And the first hit is always as strong as the last hit.

Non TC. Well, Most of the High powered devices are TC now. It begs the question, Why not TC? You dont need to use it, But it is nice to Have if you can, why not right.

I cant give you five, because I havent tried five.
But I will give you suggestions.

Sigelei 150 watt (I got mine for like 90$...and/ or 150 watt temp control.
Smok x cube II (160 watts stock, 180 watts after software upgrade) with temp control is probably one of the cheapest. I got mine for 69$
IPVs are pretty decent from what Ive heard I almost got one. IPV 3, or 4...
A lot of people are in to Snowwolf 200s, at least, I see a lot of them. !

I only have the top 2 Sigelei and Smok cube x II

Do some googling, see if you can get some decent deals on them.
If you are really against TC, then You might be able to find them for pretty good deals.... as theyve been out for a while

Mech box mod if you want to cloud chase, but should have a good knowledge on batteries and rebuilding coils

I never cloud chase anymore, yet there's a mechanical mod in my hand. (and there has been since before there was such a thing as cloud chasing.)
Whether you choose a mechanical or a VW/TC is up to you. You STILL have to learn how to use whichever you choose.

Since cloud chasing is what you want to do, it's a lot safer with a good VW mod.

If you find changing the wattage on your device a chore, then mech mods are probably not for you.
I was about to post the same thing. If pressing a power up/down button is a chore, you are likely going hate rebuilding every time you want a bit more or less power.
Kicked Nemesis for tootle-puffing is the budgeter's choice. Every part is replaceable, except the tubes. Replacing the tubes by buying a totally new one is also economical. Stable vape throughout the charge-life. Best of both worlds.

And many of us are 180° from that thinking.
after all the playing, special coils, tinkering constantly, burning through bottles of juice like crazy, what settings again? Tc being fussy today, Etc etc.

Its nice to take just a minute or two toss in a simple mid gauge coil, pop in a fresh battery, add a few drops and go.5-6 hours from now maybe pop in a fresh cell.
Mechs start off as cloud chasing toys for many but for the lazy vapors it just doesn't get any easier lol.

Even joytech understood our feelings on this when they created the ego one.

If you know batteries and can build good coils a mech is nice. I use a mech most of the time, I just enjoy a mech mod, but they're not for everyone.

If you like to tinker then mechs are a good option, if you want to plug and play go regulated.

Mechs are like old hot rods, they can run but you have to build them. Regulated mods are like new sports cars, they just go out of the box.

best bang for your buck if you are just looking at power mode will be the smok xcube 2. the sigelei is lower wattage for more money. i got my xcube for $50 on fasttech. you can find them for about that price on sale. if you want to go a bit higher end with more features there are always the DNA200 mods. there are a couple models which can be had for about $120. however, thats a lot of extra money to get an extra 20W of power that you will never use (i dont know anyone who vapes at 150W let alone 200W. also, a lot of the extra features on the DNA200 will be for temp control which it seems like you have no interest in.

    just my $0.02

A kicked mech is certainly an option for some, however the OP wanted to get into cloud chasing and already has a 60W device. Not entirely sure how much good a 15W kick would do in that perspective.

A mod or APV is nothing more then a way of transferring power from the Battery to the Atomizer.

In the past Mechanicals were a necessity for Sub Ohm Vaping because VV or VW didn't support very Sub Ohm Atty's

But now the new generation of VW support Atty way down into levels that are close to a hard short and will provide power beyond what a mechanical will provide.
After all a Mechanical is limited by the 4.2V of the battery.

    My mechs are gathering dust.

The one advantage of a mechanical is durability less to go wrong. But this is balanced by the fact that if one isn't careful with a mechanical there are no safeguards to stop
    the effects of short circuits.

For me mechs are perfect for what I need out of my vape. Variable has always felt like my smart tv to me, a bunch of features I paid for and don't need. Of course that has a lot to do with my personality if you offered me a top of the line luxury car that I can get WiFi in and reads me my emails, I'd ask if you had any antique muscle cars. :p
