Mech mod switch problem.

I recently bought a Skeleton Key mechanical mod and i was a little careless when removing the switch. Idk what its called, but there is a very tiny pin that sits in the assembly that i have lost and the whole.switch doesnt work anymore. I was wondering if there is anything i can use that would work or where i can buy another?

Im not familiar with the switch on the skeleton but does it look anything like these rice pins? I bet ordering that pin from the factory wont be cheap

A lot of mechs have rice pins and you can usually use just about anything that will fit. They are often used to keep a pair of parts aligned. I have seen posts that said the line from a string trimmer was the correct diameter so if you have one you might give that a try.

I have lost a large yellow button someplace in my house and I could never find it. I finally gave up and had a new one digitally printed. Don't feel like you are the only one to drop and lose a small part.

Totally agree. I lost the one in my nemi so many times. I finally found that a round toothpick was the perfect size

Crud..my switch fell apart on my stingray X this morning out on the patio, and I was having trouble getting it back together and to work properly. I wonder if it had one of these and it fell out and I didn't know it.

A piece of large paperclip (folded in half) and cut down to the correct length also works for a rice pin.

If you have any scrap solid core electrical wire around you can cut a very short piece and use that... Proper size for a regular Stingray is #12 copper wire (ask me how I know ) Dunno about the Stingray X model.

Hah..I am so glad I saw this thread. Thanks for starting it.
I would never have known that rice pin part fell out! I found it in the rug.
And now since I put it all back together it is working better than ever.
