Mechanical mod not firing

I bought a mechanical mod from FT (Sentinel clone), maybe had it for a few months, and recently its performance has declined. I've read about the possible causes, such as the battery or dirty contacts. I put fresh Sony 30A batteries and it doesn't solve it. I cleaned the brass and it doesn't help. I only cleaned the negative and positive contacts. I put it different atomizers and it doesn't help. So now I'm using my rba with my iTaste MVP until I find a solution or another package from FT for another clone of a different style but also brass.

Is there another solution to revive my mod? I looked through the forums for cleaning solutions and before I went out to the store, I looked in the house for cleaning supplies. I ended up using a chrome polisher and metal cleaner from TurtleWax. The brass looks new, but again, didn't improve the performance.

I asked about this in the New Members Forum already but seems like I didn't get the right answer.

So basically my mod will fire, sometimes suddenly, sometimes it takes 5 seconds, sometimes it doesn't fire correctly for a bit. It's bipolar.

This is what I have that's having issues:

Having a good mechanical switch means tight tolerances sometimes. By the sound of you specific issues it would appear your problem is the switch perhaps insulater from inside the switch isn't seated properly and tucking under the contact point. A dirty contact would create a point of resistance and likely make the mod heat up to a degree. Of coarse if you have an RDA or RBA, I would follow the KISS rule first and make sure you are getting voltage at the connector and a substantially lower voltage than normal would be indicative of a dirty contact.

I know I am reviving this from the dead... but

I too had issues with my Sentinel [clone] losing performance and even heating up [somewhat -- not too bad]

I took it all apart, the three main pieces of the body, also took apart the button and the positive post thing in the upper part.
What I found was a lot of grime on the threads and in the button/spring. Cleaned her all up and she is ripping hard again and no heating up at all. Running 4 coil 8 wrap 26ga on a Igo-W3.

So what I am saying is that is some legit advise up there ^^
