Hello, my name is Steven and this is my first post on this forum! I am currently vaping on a smoktek S.I.D. and I am looking to expierement with a Mechanical Mod. My brother has a nemesis clone and Im looking into getting something different. Anybody have any expierence with a smoktek Magneto? I have about $75 or so to play with as a budget for the device.

I have an Atomo clone and I love it, came with all 3 battery size tubes and it has a magntetic switch along with an adjustable center pin.
It only cost me $40 too and you could probably find it cheaper now.
With $75 you could get an atomo clone and a kayfun clone to go with it which looks sick as .... imo.
I don't have any personal experience with the Magneto but I have heard good things about them.

My first mech was a Magneto. It is a great starting point. I still use it from time to time. The magnetic fire button is great! The only issue I've had with it was the threaded ring that holds the button on would work its way loose with heavy use. To prevent the button popping out I'd tighten the ring once a day or so. Only takes a couple seconds. That was on a early run Magneto. Not sure if this small issue is still happening with the latest version of this.

When I read the title I rushed in here to shout nemesis clone, lol. If you're not against clones I can recommend the Sentinel M-16, and the Chi-You. I have a brass Sentinel, and my girlfriend has a brass Chi You clone. Both extremely affordable and proven devices. If you use atty's that draw air from the 510 connection the M16 might not work, I had to dremel slots in mine for some of my attys.

I've been wanting to get my hands on a Hammer.

If you want a beginner mech that doesn't have the bells and whistles but will still hit like a train and take a pounding look at the kamry k101. I have had one for a few months since I started rebuilding more seriously and it's worked perfectly every single hit.

The only trouble I've ever had is the locking button sticking when I screwed it down too tight, but I can't blame my kamry for that. Also, for under $30 at last check it's worth a shot. Basically all mechs do the same thing, the two main important things are a good *safe* battery ( remember electric cars catching fire? same batteries, think about that in your hand) and a stable *safe* coil.

If you want the name, a nemy clone is a good start as is a magneto. Just consider where you will use it and add in 10%-20% of abuse for wear and tear, drops and etc. Just fyi, even my $150 SVD vv mod has survived drops from over 5ft and gotten only cosmetic damage.

What kind of atty are you going to use with it? I loved my Magneto a lot. I also LOOOOVE my Sentinel M16 clone (It hits just as hard as my authentic king) I have the Atomo clone that was mentioned above and for me it was ok (a little more voltage drop then the rest). The chi-you clone is a good choice as is the Nemesis clone. There are a lot out there, it comes down to what style you like, what batteries you want to use, and what kind of atty you're going to be using. Just my :2c:

Im thinking of going with an IGO-W that's what my brother is using and it seems to work well!

I would recommend the IGO-W4 because it is an upgraded version of the Igo-W. If you are going to be dripping then you also have to factor in supplies. Batteries (Sony us18650vtc4 are all I use), a charger (I use a nitecore 4 bay), kanthal wire or ribbon (I use mainly wire but also have ribbon. I also use 26gauge wire because I sub-ohm), wicking material like ekowool or cotton. So there is a lot to think about. I would definitely do a bit of research and figure if you want to sub-ohm or not (then comes the understanding of battery safety) and what kind of mod do you like. I prefer a fixed tube myself, but i own some telecoping too. If I were to tell you to buy something it would either be a Hcigar Nemesis, the Hcigar Sentinel m16 clone, or the Smoktech Magneto. Again these are my opinions and just my :2c:

The magneto is a big mech compared to the nemesis, I have both and use the nemesis more lately. As for and rda I prefer the trident since you can close off the other airhole to run single coil and the slotted posts make it easier to dual coil. My current fav rba is the fogger v2, quite a learning curve over similar rbas but works great when you figure it out.

Also the kts+ flat top is another great mech I use, just dont get the 2 tone gold/silver since the gold part looks like crap after a couple months of wear. Looked great with a gold plated trident for a couple months though.

Trident is awesome RDA but it will blow OP's budget @ $90. If clone, I would prefer IGO over Trident clone. IGO is much simpler design and a good beginner RDA.
