I ordered my SVD last night about midnight. I couldn't get the discount code to work no matter how I typed it.

I got in before the bell on SVD but my order of Evods was not that lucky. Last night I didn't pushed the confirm button and this morning the code discounts where GONE

Still a good deal tough.

Those are unprotected - aren't the Venerable Masters of Vape always going on about how we should always use protected batteries??

Protected batteries are not a good idea in VV/VW pv's. For one thing, the protection circuit can trip due to the draw of the device and which is because ICR's aren't supposed to have that type of draw put on them.

The "Venerable Masters of Vape" generally recommend IMR (lithium manganese) or Hybrid high drain, safe chemistry batteries. These are unprotected but designed for high drain applications such as the draw put on them by vv/pv's or lower ohm vaping in mechanicals. The short list of recommended batteries would be

AW IMR's
Panasonic CGR18650CH
Panasonic NCR18650PD
Mnke 18650 IMR's

and to a lesser extent

Efest IMR's

The Panasonic CGR18650CH's that were linked to are rated for 10 amps, the Innokin caps at 5 and even less than that on a single 18650. Additionally, the SVD has built in protection for short circuits. Protected batteries are not only unnecessary for it, they aren't recommended or optimal. You'd likely be short on power even if you didn't trip the batteries protection.

No, they aren't. The best batteries are unprotected IMR. Recommended are AW IMR, Efest IMR, and Panasonic CGR18650CH. The Panasonic CGR18650CH are the ones in that link, and are a hybrid type that are not strictly IMR but get called that as they are similar.
All the batteries I just mentioned have safer chemistry and are designed to handle high drain.

ECF guide to rechargeable batteries here:

Unprotected Li-ions are not recommended. Unprotected Li-Mns are - which are the ones I mention in my post here.

I ordered a Vamo, which said ships in 4 business days, and a Vivi Nova, which said ships in 2 business days, on the same order. It took 4 days for it to ship. I think if you order more than one item it takes the longest number of days for the order to ship. I can't explain why it's taken a week for some of you but that's how my first order was. My second order of juice is supposed to ship tomorrow. I also ordered the SVD kit today which says ships next day. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Yeah I got mine too. It's my back up to Vamo I've had since Fall. And I've been needing the protected batteries raulverma recommends so... ( yes i know SVD needs protected)
I passed on SVD so many times too! Mainly because I didn't want the extra stuff. I only use Pyrex for my tanks. I clean my contact area out on my Vamo regularly. I believe that to be a good idea on SVD too.there was a thread on how to fix the gasket if it "goes"VSomething about leaks. I don't understand the technical but I just treat them well because they'll last longer and I use autos 808s too and just have a habit of keeping things dried and clean. Oh and clean with pink rubber erasure the battery contacts.
I have leater I wrap my Vamo. Glove eater. Thin. Gonna wrap it and dress it up big time just for fun. I vape my big mods at home most the time but need to throw some feathers and mojos on there too dangling...and a chime. Yes. Gonna make it chime. Chime bells are verrrry relaxing
