Melo 300 with TFV8 RBA?

Just bought a TFV8 rba off a coworker for my melo 300. I know the coils between the 2 tanks are interchangeable, but the RBA wont register on my mod. I put the stock head back on to see if there was a glitch, but that reads no problem when its half in.

Anyone have any tips for this issue?




EDIT: I have the chimney o-ring from the melo 300 on the contact pin now to act as a spacer and its making contact now, but I still wonder is there is a more solid fix out there

If the franken-RTA is working, you have found your solution.

Why not buy a proper, dedicated dual coil RTA?

I have several, but I got the melo 300 so I can share personal input with customers instead of simply saying it's a budget TFV8 lol
