Melo coil wicking not showing in atlantis

I know there are a ton of atlantis/melo coil threads but I'm having a really hard ime finding any info on this specifically. With the Atlantis coils that came with it, the wick holes were fully visible between the chimney notches. I ordered a pack of melo coils and their wick slots are mostly covered up, maybe 1/3 showing. Is that normal, will it still wick properly?

I was worried about this too when I first tried them but they wick decently.

Yes I noticed the same thing. They sit lower but they seem to work ok, last longer and taste better.
