Melted metal in Sigelei 100w..

Alright, so a few months ago I made the mistake of purchasing an overpriced sigelei from this wannabe vape shop. I've never cared for the store much, but I was itching for a new toy so I stopped in. I had some extra cash and saw they had a sigelei 100w Plus which I'd been interested in for months at this point. So, I forked over $140....I know, I know... And I never buy gear from shops- I don't know WTF I was thinking. So it worked great for a month, maybe? Then one day, I go to fire it with an Atlantis and it reads "Check atomizer". Swapped it out with everything I had and nothing would read! So I open it up and find this melted but hardened metal (if that makes sense) inside. I don't have a picture because I'm currently not home, but the area that was melted was obviously the reason for why it wasn't firing. Like a dumb ..., I didn't keep a receipt - the store has a NO RETURN policy anyways. So now I've got a $140 paper weight. Has this happened to anyone else?

The latest Sigelei mods are pretty much fool proof as far as I know. That doesn't mean they can't go bad, but I have not heard anyone else having had your experience so far. I have a Sigelei 150 and it's worked well for a couple of months for me.

I believe Sigelei gives at least a three month warranty on their mods but I think you do need to have proof of purchase to use that like most companies require. You could go back to the store you bought it from and see if they have a record of your purchase.

Good luck with it and hope it works out for you.

Defiantly find out about your warranty and talk with a rep from Sig. They should fix or replace that under warranty. I have two Sig 150s and I know quite a few people who have their mods without ever having an issue with them.

I'm a little disturbed by your statement that you shouldn't buy from local shops though. I know they "can" be a bit higher in price than buying on-line, but...we all need to support our own local economy in our own way.

It's only that one particular shop that I can't stand. 2 more shops have opened up with staff that are much more knowledgeable and focus on vaping and vaping only. The other store sells everything from bongs, adult toys to coffee. You know, one of those stores that does a million things, but does none of them right?
