Menthol losing it's taste

So I have been diy for about a month. When I first started I used menthol crystals grounded and mixed with pg. I was mixing them at 1/2 teaspoon of menthol crystals per 10ml. And that seemed to be perfect for the flavor I was looking for. Since then I have gotten extreme ice from fw. Tried it a few times was not exactly what I was looking for so I went to go use the menthol I had sitting in a bottle. When I opened the bottle I could not smell the menthol at all. I shook it still nothing. So what I was wondering is, is there a shelf life for menthol juice?

I have vaped menthol exclusively for 3 years, and I bought flavoring (premade 10% menthol and PG) in bulk a couple of years ago. No issues with flavor loss.

Menthol is a pretty strong flavor to miss. Do you think you grabbed the wrong bottle?

No I had a plastic bottle for the menthol and was mixing all of my juices in glass bottles. Anyway I made a new one and upped my menthol 2 teaspoons of menthol crystals ground up put them in a 30ml bottle and filled the rest with pg.
