You're not crazy, I heard the same thing too... In fact, I loved menthols, but refused to smoke them on the basis that they would crystallize my lungs. Now ya tell me!

Yup, heard this too, main reason I never smoked menthols. Either the menthol or the fiberglass in the filters, either way I wasn't taking a chance. So nobody has any scientific input on this? I guess they all just skimmed over the thread topic laughing.
I heard growing up,that it makes your lungs bleed a little bit, every time you smoke a menthol cigarette.
When I was young (maybe 12) we hung at the pool smoking kools at the pool all day. One day one of the girls there started coughing up blood and her parents had to come get her and take her to the hospital. Afterwards everyone said it was the menthol cigarettes that caused her lungs to bleed. Never heard the end of the story and don't remember ever seeing that girl again I'll have to ask my brother if he ever talked to her about what happened... she was more in his age range than mine.

BTW, I failed to mention that stupid me still didn't give up the cigs and even smoke menthol cigs for the REST of my life, LOL. Again, stupid, stupid, STUPID
