How many have sent bad Janty atomizers back, or had one go bad within the warranty period but just didn't send it back because of the hassle and/or expense? I'm trying to determine their failure rate. I really want to purchase an eGo, but after having given it more thought and done more research, I'm not so sure. I'm definitely sold on the battery, but the atomizer is the weak link for me, and the eGo only comes with one. A backup is a must, but I think Janty's are overpriced, probably because of the warranty offer.

So why even use a eGo/DURA atomizer instead of a regular Joye or knockoff 510? Well, I don't know. There's supposed to be something special about the Jantys, but I can't find any evidence of what it is. (If there is, I would gladly pay the premium.) Somebody asked a question along those lines on another thread, but it was never answered.

I was also looking for actual warranty information on the Janty website, but never found it. I did find a DURA manual, and here's an excerpt (note the bolded text):

CAUTION:
We do not accept any warranty/indemnity claims in case of wrong usage. If you are carrying the Janty DURA with you, please carry it separately in order to avoid scratches or damage due to collision with other parts such as keys or mobile phones. The use of any undedicated components will lead to malfunction and damage of this product. The use of other than JANTY cartridges or the use of liquid other than JANTY liquid will damage the atomizer beyond repair. Please dispose of old batteries....
Really? Notice that the wording says will, not might. Whether or not that's true, that language automatically voids the warranty for me because I mix my own liquids. If the warranty is of no value to those of us who use other liquids, what's the point of paying for one? I love warrantys, by the way (I've had the motherboard in this Dell laptop replaced three times--no more Dells for me). The warranty, and the customer service satisfaction, were what drew me to the eGo instead of the Tornado in the first place.

Today is my one month vaping anniversary and the atomizers in this Joye 510 kit that I've had for a week are ready for the junk heap. It seems a lot of people are having trouble with 510 atomizers, so that is why I am focusing on them. If it weren't for Capellas French Vanilla, I probably would have given the whole thing up by now.

In general, you need more than 5 atomizers as backups. Why? Because no manufacturer can truly guarantee an atomizer lasting 1 week or 1 month. It is near impossible to guarantee that these units will not just die when they suddenly decide its their time.

Ofcourse there are differences in build, and our 6 month warranted atomizers ( the ones with the janty logo on them ) are the best build class available to us - and as such they tend to work better, and last longer than any other atomizer of its class.

When it comes to comparing them to joye, well.. joyetech works with us - for us - so you might be thinking there is no difference, but.. there is. It all comes down to time spent on the individual atomizer being made ( since they are hand made ) - and the janty logoed ones, are well made.

Now you ask why should you buy a janty atomizer ? Well, apart from them being better (feel free to ask around) they also are warranted by the 6 month warranty. Noone else offers that. And while it might seem a hassle, then i think you are not realising that we are probably not talking about one atomizer dying in a period of 6 months, we are talking maybe 2, 3, 4, 5 - so - again, buy a few, then wait until you have a few that are dead, send those in for replacements and youre good again.

Now, im not saying that your atomizers _will_ die, mine for instance all live still, and i started vaping some 8 months ago now i believe - ive only killed 2 out of the .. what 40 i have. But it comes down to a general mix of luck, how-you-vape, and maintenance - and ofcourse your choice in liquids also matters - if you use god-knows-who-made-it-and-where-it-comes-from-liquid, then that could have impurities in it, that will clog up the atomizer, or maybe lead it to burn excessively hard. However we wont refuse to exchange your atomizer due to you using a different type of liquid.

I think in general you will find that Jantys return policy is generally very generous, large and usually no-questions-asked.

So , all im saying is: youre safe with us, and our products are top of the line - and if you are in doubt about the eGo, then please feel free to browse youtube for reviews, or ask around this forum: I think you will find that it might just be the perfect thing for you!

Hope all of the above helps a bit!

/Mik

I feel better now. I am finding that juice does make a difference. A huge difference. I got 30 ML in a DIY kit that with yellowish nic juice that does not vape (I compared between another vendors liquid, so I now know it is not the device). Steep learning curve, this vaping.

So I'm eagerly awaiting notification that the eGos have arrived and am ready to be a happy, loyal customer.

Cudo's Mik, Cudo's...
No shame the some of them (trolls)..
Oh, well.. You will NEVER lease them all.. nope..
I have had nothing but GREAT service from Janty and Ethan and Jeff.
I praise you Mik, the GOD of my PV!
I will always believe with in the eGo and, when the time comes, The Baby J too!
Like I had said some time ago, the eGo was my VERY 1st PV from Janty and I'm glad I came to you for it. I too had done nothing but research for my Holy Grail (part 1) and now I am waiting for my Holy Grail (part 2 (Baby J)hehe) Then I will, with an open heart and open arms wait for the T esla Cart..
I owe Janty a lot for such a GREAT PV and I hope for more to come that I will be greatful for.

Oh, Mik? I know where you live and when... never mind.. LOL:lol:

Warranties are only good when you are able to GET a replacement....
Inferior atomizers are still 100% better than atomizers that don't exist...

The problem is, here in the states, Janty is out of atomizers, out of RY4 eliquid, and out of eGo sets.... pretty much all the popular items we can't live without. Atomizers being the most important... and apparently eliquid which seems to be very important too, making sure theres no 'impurities' in it from other companies.

Warranty or not, I don't know where a replacement is going to come from, or when. 6 months is a fantastic warranty.... but not if it takes 6 months to get replacements.

No sooner did i write an email asking when more atomizers will be in, my atty died tonight. I was going to order extras 2 weeks ago when i got my eGo, but.... they were out then too! :p

Now i can smoke regular cigarettes again, and at a high price, while i try to find attys elsewhere since Janty somehow doesnt know when they are getting more .... how does the customer win? And how does a company who sells this stuff run out of this stuff? Like the grocery store running out of milk and eggs

The email-answerers are great except for my last email with no response.... but the shipping was fast etc etc... but out of so many important products, and don't know when more will come? There's something very wrong in Texas.

I spent over $130 to use the ego for 2 weeks. Yes, I am bitter, but also worried about the Janty company. They can't even keep the website current...

Where's the eGo sets due for shipping feb 2nd? Why does the website still say they will be shipped Feb 2nd? Did they only buy enough for the backorders and not more to sell?

This is just bad business all around... the Ego seems to me the best ecig out there.. but useless without replacement parts. Atomizers especially.

Sorry for the rant... but now i need an atomizer... where can I get some for the eGo style ecig? I already know where I can't...

I totally get your frustration! However, you can use any 510 atomizer on the eGo.
Feel free to PM me if you need help finding them.

More frustration is exactly what I want to avoid.

I've been looking around, and a lot of vendors are out of supplies. I think it might partly be due to the Chinese New Year (factories closed? long holiday?). Or it could be because there is a higher demand. I would vote for number two because much of the vaping world seems to still be a cottage industry, and the more demand, the more R&D investment. Then somebody will develop a new, whizbang, fussless atty. And we'll all live happly ever after in our clouds of Capellas French Vanilla, or the flavor of our choice.
