I too am awaiting the shipment of eGo. Am I getting upset? No, I understand that things happen, delays happen. We were updated that the shipment was going to be 2-3 days later than originally stated. It isn't an unreasonable length of time. I can wait, and I'm sure I'll be very pleased with my new toy and the experience it will bring. I think my friends are getting more anxious than I am. Everyone wants to try it. LOL

I ordered a couple flavors while I waited, they are here chilling in the refrigerator, children have been forewarned to not taste them because they have nicotine in them (my kids love the virgin pina coladas I make them).

In life you have to learn what is worth expending your energy worrying and stressing. A delay in shipment? Not worth getting upset about. A car lot listing a car at one price, then trying to sell it to you for a much inflated price? That has me upset. LOL

I have purchased e-cigs and supplies from several venders and as I rule of thumb I do not return, or ask for warranty replacement. The reason is, I realize most of the items are made cheaply in China and the seller really doesn’t have control of the quality. Basically I buy the cheapest I can find, and accept the fact I’m getting less then a quality product. The problem is I am not satisfied with the e-cigs I have tried.

I am looking at the Janty Stick and in my opinion, Janty is asking top dollar for their products. The stick does have a 6 month warranty. If I purchase one it will have heavy use and I would expect it to last for the warranty period. You would definitely hear from me if the body, or atomizer went bad.

So sell me. Will the Stick last? Can I expect quick replacement if needed? Can you send out replacement body or atomizer at the same time I am sending a return or will I be without for several weeks? Am I getting a better product?

@ Mik!

Damn! So close, yet so far! I havent gotten a chance to email Jeff yet, but I'll give that a try. Im leaving Tues morning, so Im thinking I just might be without my beloved Ego for another 18 days until I get home :-(

But this is what I can do... Im assuming you are referring to the disgustingly sweet cinnamon chewing gum when you say "Big red"? Since you were the one that brought us the amazing ego, if you PM me a shipping address, I'll work my magic and get some sentright over to ya. Consider it a big thanks on behalf of all us ego fans! I'll bring it with me and ship it from Norway so it gets there faster.

Thanks again, and keep your eyes peeled for a PM from me regarding my final ego review.

Wow...
Just felt the need to chime in here.
Im one of those members who is also awaiting an ego set. To make matters worse, I was given an ego set for review purposes to keep for two weeks. I loved it so much that I ordered my own ego set hoping I would have it before I need to head back overseas for work. It kinda makes matters worse seeing as I have already gotten the ego "taste" in my mouth... just makes me want it that much worse. Its like giving a recovering alcoholic a "sip" of the smoothest whiskey out there, and then saying "NO MORE" :p Im mega bummed, but in no way upset. This kinda ..... happens!
I was also one of the unfortunate ones that got the short end with the Limited Edition Janty Stick Pre-order kit. As upset as I was, rest assured that Janty took care of me and all the others that spent a pretty penny on the LE Stick set. While things changed from what was advertised, we were all very fairly compensated and still got what we paid for albeit in a different form.
I have purchased two Janty Stick sets, a Dura-C set, and now my ego set. And while I use other suppliers for some of my needs, my hardware will come from Janty.
Both of my sticks were replaced under warranty for switch failure. The most recent replacement was so graciously replaced by Jeff with a new V3! WArranty replacements have always been swift and hassle free.
Sure there are people out there ...... with Janty! Name one company that doesnt have ...... off customers... Companies have set backs, and customers can not always be pleased. Im sure if Skot dug deep enough he'd find negative reviews on the site he so ingorantly promoted here as well.
And one more thing... regarding the comment about "Free juice and PV's" Despite being one of the members chosen by Janty to do a review, I received nothing free from them. They do revolving reviews, where the device is sent on to another user after two weeks of use. While I dont want to say I got nothing from Janty for my review (I got an amazing experience and found a PV that really suits my needs) I gained nothing in a materialistic sort of way, so that comment regarding "free juice and PV's" is irrelevant.
Just wanted to give Janty the props they deserve! Even if still to this day I have a hell of a time pronouncing the name of their company! :p
Best Regards and Safe travels,

Yes it is built to last - the V3s are quite new though but so far nothing major has been reported with these i believe. Yes we replace same day we get it in, if we have it in stock, no we do not send out replacement stuff - we will return once we get the faulty part - the same day typically. Yes you are getting a much better product: Typically all of Janty's products are usually a bit different than our competitors mainly because we have, well.. me who design them, and then a big staff of people that goes through them and tries to find flaws, errors, optimise, and so on - so its a big process for anything from idea to finished product - so i do think its safe to say you are getting more for your dollar.

However, i do not want you to take my word for it, but instead ill advise you to 1) ask people on here about their experiences with both janty and our products, and 2) go on youtube and search for Janty ego review, and Jantystick v3 review - that is also a nice way of seeing other peoples opinions - and notice that we do not send out review models to reviewers and pay them, or let them keep the models: in fact we emphasize that they should tell people what THEY think, regardless if they like the product or not.

Phew, that was alot of typing.. sorry for splurting it all out like that but im in the middle of some work, just thought id chime in! ;)

/Mik

I'd like to get an Ego but .....since it basically uses a 510 atty and cart, why would it work any better than other 510's? Not talking about the battery here. What I mean is that unless you drip, aren't the carts useless? I'm looking for a friend who doesn't want to fiddle with cart mods. Also, does a 510 to 808 adapter work on this? If so, will the sleeve fit over it?
Tesla filter .....where are youuuuuuuuuuu.

Hey Pete,

let me try to answer some of these things for you:

First off, it wont fit with any other atomizer than the dura/510 at the moment with the atomizer cover on. The reason for this is that the atomizer cover has been specifically designed for the dura/510 atomizer to enhance the warmth and flavor production of this: so yes, - it comes with standard 510/dura carts, but the vapor and taste is much warmer and stronger.

As for your friend - well, to be honest i started on a dura myself and that kept me off analogues even when i had to resort to dripping, and i personally dont think i would have stopped that easily on an 801 - the dura just reminds me personally of an analogue in its throat hit. And if you do agree with me on that, then i am convinced you will absolutely love the eGo !

So what im trying to say is, even if carts and dripping can be a hassle then i would still personally recommend the eGo to a newcomer, over a 801 PV - just because it removes MY craving entirely due to the taste/throathit.

- and once the tesla filter, or anyones else solution for that matter hits the market then it wont important what type of carts or atomizer you are using, so you might as well get the one now, that you like the taste of - if that makes sense?

Mik's thougths make sense, i had a 510 when i started vaping and it worked great for quitting cigarettes.
Then i switched to a janty stick to have a less hassle vaping experience,
better carts, better atty for dripping, longer battery life and better vapor (thanks to a better performing battery).
I'm happy of my stick, the only thing i miss is the wamer vapor and little better throat hit of the 510.
But in the end the stick is a better device than a dura in my opinion.
So... being myself a dripper i won't buy myself an ego until tesla filter will be out but i'd get an ego for a beginner.

What you have said about the warmer vapour and better throat hit with the 510 rings true with me. I started with a 901 then bought the Dura I quit analogues straight away, I didn't even think about them. I bought a Stick because of the battery life when they first came out and I absolutely loved it. But 3-4 months down the line I hit the analogues again:( I persevered with the stick but I could not give up the real smokes.
I bought an Ego the other week and haven't looked back since:) I've not even wanted a real cig. I need the hit of the 501 and the battery life of the Ego is great, my only regret is that I didn't buy one sooner.

Just for the record, the eGo will accept a 901 or 8088 adapter and the atomizer cone will still fit. You have to use one of the short chrome adapters, not the Janty ones. For when I'm in the car I use a 8088 on it so I don't have to drip or top off.

I just got my eGo in and am using it with a stainless steel mouthpiece and it is awesome. I drip with it exclusively when using the 510 for now until the Tesla filter comes out. The stainless steel mouthpiece is awesome for dripping since you do not need to remove it to drip on the atty. PM me for links to the mouthpiece and adapter links if you wish. If Mik or Ethan give me permission I'll post the links here as well.

I do think though that when talking about the strength of the eGo you have to talk about the battery. I was very hesitant about the eGo because I thought that 600 or so MAH wasn't nearly enough. I had been using 3.7v and 5v mods that had batteries rated for anywhere between 750 mah to 1000 mah and I'd get about 4 hours of life out of them before the battery either died or performance reached a point that I had to replace them to get a satisfactory hit. I've gone through four battery cycles since receiving it and average 7 to 10 hours of life. As advertised.

I originally just bought the eGo to test drive it before picking one up for my Mother-in-law but after using it, I'm keeping it and am going to order another one for her. So with all that said, if the performance and durability of the eGo can last the course of 6 months to a year then I think it is an absolute winner.

Here's a pic of the eGo with the T-Tip on it. It looks great on the eGo and makes dripping a breeze. Just tilt the eGo to a 45 degree angle and drip directly into the mouthpiece hole.
