Hey all, well, I haven't personally experienced this, but I think it's definitely worth looking into. I'm always around if you need to contact me for warranty replacement, so keep me posted. Open a help desk ticket or email me directly at Ethan@jantyusa.com. This is actually the first I've heard of something like this, so I'm hoping that it is a rarity.

I like the Copper look. This is all I use on my eGo now, the Copper Mega atty's.
Yes, they should have LR Mega atty's. I would buy a few of them too..

I LOVE the Copper finish too Stubear! We had a vapors get-together here in Toronto last night and I asked if there will ever be a Copper Ego available..I'm sure it WILL be one day and then I am ALLL over that like a fat kid on a runaway Smartie..

Well guys, I just pulled out a fresh battery, and in comparison, I've decided to get rid of the old one.

First off, I thre away an atomizer a couple of days ago because it just dropped dead, or so I thought. Then I put a new atomizer on, and I could barely get any vapor off of it. I was wondering if the atomizer was a bad one, or if it needed to be broken in.

Anyway, I put the new battery on just now, and the atomizer came to life, delivering a ton of vapor with ease. So that's good.

I know these things aren't meant to last forever, but I am very curious over what is causing the burning heat in that area, and the reduced vapor. And what would happen if I continued to use it.

Sucks though because I threw away what was probably a perfectly good atomizer, and almost threw this second one away. Oh well, I guess this is a lesson learned.

It is better you not find out what would happen.. lol
bad batty sounds like..

Zoi,
As I mentioned previously, I have not heard of this until now, and we have sent out over 1000 of these units, from Janty USA alone, not counting worldwide sales. So, remain calm my friend :)

I've worked in manufacturing and know that there is no such thing as 100% total quality and that no matter how stringent the QA is, there will Always be a statistical percentage of defects.

What made this thread ironic to me is that I decided 2 weeks ago to get an eGo with Automatic batteries. For 10 days I scowered the web looking for either the batteries and charger or a starter kit. A few people told me that they would be getting some in 5 to 6 weeks but I wanted it now. I was about to give up when I saw that Janty Canada said that they were supposed to have some Automatic starter kits in this week.

I e-Mailed Sean and he confirmed this. The next day I was about to place a pre-order when Sean e-Mailed me back to say that the Automatic kits were in. Too Cool. I ordered one and felt glad that the long search was over. Now, 24 hours later I read this thread.

I’m sure that if there is a 1 in 10,000 chance of getting a bad battery, that I will be the person who does. It’s just the way my luck is going lately. But I also feel, that if I do have a problem that Janty / Janty Canada / Sean will take care of it. I’ve read very good things about Janty support and it was a deciding factor in my purchase decision.

Even if mine are starting to go bad it's been well worth it. I don't use anything else and would continue using the eGo even if the batteries lasted only 2 months... they're THAT much better than any other PV I've used.
i agree... i use 4 egos at once with 4 more batteries as back ups...hopefully with the rotation, i wont see any problems for a long time, but if i do, its so worth it...

My name is Mutt and i have an ego problem:D

i said it earlier, somewhere near : i would prefer janty could build a bigger cart without us needing to buy some mega atomizers that costs more and have to be bought for the big cart to use. i don't ever believed that the atomizer had to change because of the bigger cart.

but, janty could just make the 510-tesla make hold that 1ml liquid and we are set ;)

100% Correct Kel..
The 510 cart COULD have bee made without the Mega atty.
I am now in the process of doing this. Only thing is, I don't have the tools small enough and due to me losing the feeling in my hands, can't really hold the parts to work with.
Was trying to put together 2 reg 510 carts (modified) as such to be the same or larger than the Mega cart and to fit into the reg atty.
Went through 16 used carts alread and 4 slices into my fingers.
Starting to know how the movie, Freddy Kruger's victims feel. LOL

Not only does the atty sticking out, in Copper color look awesome, but, yes, I too would like a eGo to be in the Copper color as well and use the Black Atty to stick out.
Oh, and for the smarties, MMmmm mmmMMmMM... Good..

I think the warranty is probably over. I got mine soon after it came out. I could send it to you for study if you're really interested though, but of course I'd need the shipping reimbursed etc.

How do you know when an EGO battery is dying or it's user life is over? does it just stop working or what?
