in my experience the burnt taste most of the time is a cart issue not atty issue. Every atty will produce burnt taste if not wet enough.
For example pre-filled carts i received from Janty they had way too much polyfill material inside.
When that material is too compact it doesn't let the juice flow properly and constantly down to the atomizer, so you have few good hits and then some burnt taste hits as the liquid needs time to get down the atty or gets trapped in the middle-bottom end of the filler.
check the inside of your cart, if the polyfill looks too compact, take it out the cart, take some of the poly away (on the long-side), stretch it loose and place it back in the cart.
this way you'll get rid of the burnt taste till the poly will get completely dry.
just do not take too much poly away as it may produce leakage..

I'm guessing it's a wicking issue as well. Not enough juice to the atomizer and you're going to taste that. Even if the cart looks full, it's all a matter of how easily the atomizer can "pull" the liquid from the cart. Too easy and you'll flood, not easy enough and you'll get that hot metallic taste.
If I notice wicking issues but all seems good, visually, I will drip a couple of drops onto the atomizer mesh, insert the topped off cart into the atomizer, and things start working good again.
I'm still trying to find that perfect amount of filling for my carts, but this is all fun in tinkering and experimenting anyhow

You could try Dietsmokes, they are Janty distributors in the US..
They are on the list of suppliers.

quovadis is the same person that is using filter netting material as his filler. Are these problems a sympom of that usage?
Same here. I received two today and neither fire in the stick.
I just ordered 2 white m201's from litecig, hope they work on my v2
my v2 atty is on it's way out
I managed to get one to work but it really sucked; not even worth keeping as a spare. I don't know what these others are doing that I'm not but I think that I'm done trying the 201s in the V2.

That's really sexy in a, I can't believe I'm finding an electronic device sexy sort of way.
I managed to get one to work but it really sucked; not even worth keeping as a spare. I don't know what these others are doing that I'm not but I think that I'm done trying the 201s in the V2.
I finally gave up, I was not able to get either to work.

and why would the TwinBox not make sense?

this would have been nice for a modders 3rd work. maybe you drop that into the modders forum ?

an 18650 version of your stick with modular atomizer fitting would be impressive.
but this thing is only good for people that wish to use up their old hardware.
just my humble own opinion on this device.
so and now gimme that dura stick adapter and a real button for the stick
but keep on coming your refreshing ideas.

Captain Reality Check:
It's a friggin 2-two-1 battery augmentor for kissbox users that already have all the required equiptment. Looking at the initial imagery, it looks like an automatic battery switch has been implemented.
So,
For automatic battery users, this looks like nirvana. And honestly, that's a damn cool thing. I can't poo-poo something this smart.
