I just got a JantyStick V2. :thumb: At first I was getting pretty ...... about it. It took me a long time to get the atty seated correctly - I actually thought the stick was broken.

Sliding the atty into the chamber revealed it was very tight. I finally got it got it touching the battery connector with much force and twisting but still had to screw it in. Putting the cart in the atty tube didn't help, as the fit was so tight the cart just spun around in the atty tube when I tried screwing it in.

After a while I was able to get it cranked down a bit at great expense to my forefinger and thumb (sliced them both on the atty tube and made them pretty sore). I had to resort to using a damp paper towel as protection for my fingers and to get a good grip on the atty tube.

After the effort, I tried the stick out and... No vapor. :grr:

I fiddled with the battery (making sure it was seated and inserted properly - it was). LED was lighting right so unit had power. Tried USB connection, still no love. I pulled the atty out again and screwed it back in a couple times (again at great expense to my now band-aided fingers). Still no luck.

Finally, I busted out a pair of pliers and was able to turn the atty another quarter turn (and it was very tough to do!). I marred the atty tube ever so slightly with the pliers. I was so careful too - covering the tube with the paper towel and making sure I didn't bend it at all. You can't see the scratch much so it's ok - but I know it's there. :(

I popped in the cart and hit the button. Snap, crackle, pop! Ok! :thumb: VAPOR!!! (and lots of it). Cool. It works now, I'm happy. :) But, when it comes time to clean or replace the atty... I'm not looking forward to that.

In any case, my story aside, has anyone else had this tension problem seating an atomizer? Is it a V2 thing (I never had a V1). Is it normal? Is it a "newness" thing that will relax a bit with break-in? Maybe it's a good thing for a really tight fit? Should I seek a replacement (I like the JantyStick now - just the first impression sucked)? What do you think? What Would Janty Do? (I haven't contacted them about it yet).

I have both the 510 and the JS... the vapor seems about the same to me, both excellent. What I do get from my JS that I get less of with the 510 is flavor. The flavor of the juices seem to come thru better on the JS than on the 510. That said I love them both equally, just depends on what mood I'm in as to which one I vape on. I think you'll love your JS.

The other great thing I'm finding about the JantyStick over my 510 (I just got a JS as well) is longevity! Both in the battery and the cart. This little guy just keeps giving and giving! :) It's quickly becoming my fave for a quick puff or a longer after dinner "smoke."

I received mine this week. I use the white cart cap to screw mine in and out and it works great! I love the stick. It is fantastic.

Horse, you just saved me! You win Vaper of the Day!:)

I just received my JS on Wednesday. Armed with the knowledge that they basically need a breaking in period, things have been going great.
Then it happened: for the first time this morning, I wasn't able to get my atty out. Your little trick did the job! Soooo much better than the pliers that were dancing in my head!

Likewise, Dorian - I never realized the little 'pockets' on the side of my carry case. I just assumed it was a really good reinforcement job! LOL Thanks for pointing that out.

When putting an atomiser in use a screwing motion to the right, that gets you past the first obstacle of the gold band around the atomiser..

Then using a tight fitting cart, push down whilst still using the screwing action, this should cause a click when its in the right place, then continue to twist to right, making sure it isnt just the cart that is turning.

Press the button and listen... if you hear the hiss.. its connected ok.

Its something that is now second nature with the JS...lol

Yes the case is fabulous isnt it. I have mine clipped inside my handbag, so my stick stays safe and easy to get to.

Hi Chad, I just posted the following on another thread...

Just to add to this, you need to push and twist at the same time, once the atomiser reaches the connector, push that little bit harder it will then fit quite tightly..

Always raise it to your ear, push the button and listen... thats the best way to know its connected.

Always use a tight fitting cart to manipulate atomiser.. The one that came with the atomiser is usually the best as its a blank tight fitting cart.

Hope this helps..

Thanks for the tips Christena! I'm glad to know it isn't just my JS! I really like this little guy. It's a nice PV. I'm using Janty's Polar Ice (Mint) juice with it right now - I'm so/so on it. I want to try some of Janty's other juices (like Boost maybe).
