Mine, which I received on Monday, worked for 2 days and had the same problem now and then lose power half way through draw. Then tonight it quit completely will not do anything. the switch will not light up the led or anything so I just sent email for replacement. Hope this is not an ongoing problem and yes you may be smelling a recall with so many people having the same problem.

Good Lord I'm waiting for my sticks 2 come in I had ordered 1 each of auto and manual and was told they wouldn't send me an auto because they already had too many problems with that one. So I'm waiting on 2 manual ones and all I keep reading about is problems. Gotta say I'm a little nervous. Great!

My stick worked well for about 3 days, and then the switch issue described by others began to occur. Now I have to watch the lights to make sure the thing is on before drawing.

This is disturbing. After all that waiting I think we have a right to expect that something as basic as the on/off switch would have been tested and, if necessary, debugged.

My intent was to be a stick user, not a beta tester!

Same problem here and I only got to use my stick for 2 hours before it quit working.....Its just a bummer to spend that much money on the unit itself, extra atomizers, batteries and carts and not be able to use it.......Could have ordered 2 510/m kits, a passthrough and made my own Stick mod(like in the main forums) for the same money most of us spent....but the stick is still so cool....I guess when u cant get your nicotine, it gets even more frustrating.....

I've been using my stick for about 4 days now with no problems. Today however, it has started to not turn on immediatly after the button is depressed. It takes about a second or two after the "click" is heard before the light comes on and vapor production starts. This doesn't happen every time probably every 4th time or so. Also a few times it has "cut out" during draw only to turn back on before end of draw. Just wondering if maybe I have a bad switch?

Less than a week with mine and the switch has developed an intermittent failure to activate the Stick when pressed. Disappointing, because I really like this thing. Could be time to drag out the old circular saw and nail gun, and then get to operatin' on this sick Stick. Tenderly, of course. Butch

As mentioned in an earlier post the switch does seem to work much more consistently if pressed at the bottom of the button imho. I have experienced problems when pressing at the top, and so I don't do that any more. It will become a problem if it starts to cut out when pressing at the bottom of the button as well, but that hasn't happened yet. If it does I'll report the fault here.

I've read quite a few posts from Janty Stick owners that are, or have been having difficulty removing atomizers. Although I can't say I've had the issue myself, I have noticed when the atomizer gets warm, it does tend to stick with heat expansion.

Anyway, found this out purely by accident (fiddling) and apologies if someone has posted the same idea elsewhere :p

Simply remove the mouthpiece/cart from the JS, take a cart cover (the white bit) and push it over the atomizer, not too hard just enough to secure. Then twist. Your atomizer will be out in a flash! It also works in reverse for reinstalling.

Hopefully this will help JS owners with arthritis that are having problems.

I do worry that I might end up over-tightening by trying to rotate the cart straight once the atty is already screwed in.

Imho this can happen. It's perhaps better to pull the cart out and reinsert it at the desired angle rather than twisting to the right to achieve it.

Yeah, that was kind of what I was thinking. I guess I need to go back and look at the thread where the stick is opened up...

My only concern as to why I don't pull my carts off while the atty is screwed in is because I am worried I might pull out the connection inside the stick if it is only held in with plastic. Also, the instructions read respectively to have the cart already in the atty when installing or removing. I think if you follow them specifically the instructions are such that it reads to remove the atty and then remove the cart (as to removing the cart).

I am conscious of this so I try to back it off a bit and rotate the cart and then tighten it back up, but there is not much to work with.

I am probably being too careful in not removing the cart while the atty is installed because the first time I tried, I thought I heard plastic stressing/crackling noise... I'll go check out the pics in the other thread...

-edit- Oh there is a video of a guy trying out all the different atty's and he frickin tightens the crap out of them over and over again as he demonstrates all the different attys a couple of times. Man, I was watching him thinking crap you are wrenching those things in there (so it is probably sturdier then we think)

-edit 2-

After looking at the pics in this thread, I would say care needs to be taken in removing tight carts too. Granted it would probably take a fair amount of force, but you might break the plastic part of the case by pulling the cart out while the atty is installed (but I haven't heard of anyone doing this). Of course you could also spin it free by over tightening (but I haven't heard of anyone doing that.

This works really well. Thank you!

Operation of the manual switch continues to deteriorate.

Pressing at the edge of the switch nearest to the LED gives the most consistent results, but even that fails at times.

Should the switch continue to degrade I will be emailing Janty to request either a replacement switch (if it is user replaceable) or a replacement JS.

This whole business is definitely NOT amusing,,,

Hi guys, i had the same problem , and i mean that i had because now i do not , when this problem with the switch started to appear i was worried because i have 2 of them , and i didnt want to send them back for fixing , so what i did was i took out the atty and cleaned the inside chamber with a cotton bud and then i did them same with the battery chamber , it seemed that alot of liquid was laying around the chambers , but suddenly the problem does not exist , i do not know if this is a momentary situation or it will continue ...............
