As I mentioned in my earlier post, you can contact me at admin@jantyusa.com with any technical problems. I'm fixing them as I see them. There wasn't as much testing as I would have liked, but it's live now, so let me know.

Browser compatibility is a little tricky at times. I've viewed the site myself with IE7, IE8, Opera, Firefox 3 and 3.5, Safari, Chrome and haven't seen any issues at all so far. I've also checked the site in Linux, Mac OS and Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. If you are having a strange issue that hasn't been addressed yet, please send me an email and it will get taken care of. Unfortunately, with the amount of different browsers and addons in those browsers and different opions you can change, it can make some people experience the problem while others are not.

Most everyone I've spoken to has found the new site really easy to navigate. I'm here to take any suggestions as well. You can email me at admin@jantyusa.com and I will see if it is something that would potentially help the site. If it will help the site and Jeff and Ludo agree, it will be changed.

The main idea of the site is to create a community for the Janty customers. To make it easier to get what you need when you need it. This is why the things such as the FAQs, video reviews (you can add your own, btw) and forum (soon) have been introduced. Instead of just having a store where you go and buy your stuff and leave, you can look around, check out the news, check out the reviews, see what is going on in the forum or find some tips or tricks for your newly purchased device. I really like the idea originally had when he had me start working on this for him. I really believe he is here to help with making the whole experience that much better.

Also, the person who said that Janty just rebrands products, you may want to get some info from Ludo about how Janty designs their own products. :)

The rest will be going live shortly as well so be ready for it.

Thanks for your time!

I have the same problem with my m401's sitting. They were seriously sucking after a month of sitting. Yesterday was probably the only time I have every cleaned an atty. I soaked in rubbing alcohol for 2 hours and then blew out with canned air. I then let them sit in near boiling water for 30 minutes and blew out again. And then I wet burned them quite well. Which means I kept dripping and vaping the hell out of the attys until they were quite hot. IDK, it worked for me, i'm dripping with a m401 on passthrough right now and it's doing fantastic. Of course this was my first attempt at cleaning, and my atty problem was do to the e liquid drying out from sitting in the atomizer. Not sure how it would do for actual deposits

Hello all!

So, we had some problems with the jantyclub forum, and now were redoing the entire competition in this thread - ON ECF.

So, look at the picture and fill in the blanks (click the picture for a larger view).

cameohidden2.jpg

(( If for some reason you can not see the picture, the url is http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/2484/cameohidden2.jpg ))

Rules are simple, you have to guess which two features the Janty Cameo will have.

So an example of a post would be nothing more than:

"Introducing the Janty Cameo
The worlds first E-cigarette with <a red casing> and a fully <stupid guess on my part>"

And there you have it, you are then entered into the contest.

The competition will run from now and until September 1st, at 20:00 CET, at which point we will close it, look at the contestants, and those (if any) that are correct (or very darned close) will be put in a pool, and we will do an oldschool lottery style to determine the winner and 2 runner ups.

The prizes are:

1st) A Janty Cameo, shipped to you at no cost once its released fully
2nd) 5 bottles of janty liquid, of your choice, shipped to you at no cost
3rd) 2 bottles of janty liquid, of your choice, shipped to you at no cost

- So, look at the image, and post your guess in this thread!

-- notice: If you previously posted a guess anywhere else but this thread, you will have to repost here or it will not count except for those that posted in the janty club forum we will count them as being posted --

-- notice^2: Also you may edit your post once, within 24 hours of your original post. Any edits beyond that and your post will be VOID and thereby not count. NO editing is allowed after the 31th of august, no matter what the reason is.
Let the games begin! - and good luck!

Mik, I meant no offense. There was at least one compliment in there, albeit more about the product than the site. Being in web/graphic design for over 8 yrs previously, I do understand the difficulties in browser compatability. On the other hand, browser agent detection and appropriate rendering is one of the major aspects of a site and should always be at the top of the design list. I also know too though, that getting a blank email that is supposed to contain a tracking number but doesnt, then being unable to simply log in to get order status from a mobile device is fustrating no matter which browser you roll with. It actually makes me nervous about how my funds are processed, which is the last thing you want a customer to feel.

Now Im not going to go as far as to say its horrid, but it is not simple. There is a LOT going on, and none of it advertises the products the customer is visiting the site for in the first place. There is a pic of the stick, next to an ad for a tshirt you guys dont even carry yet. Tshirts are great, but not what we are there for, and this is the first thing you see when you hit the URL. On first visit I had to doublecheck the URL because I thought I hit the wrong site, and not because I was used to the old one. Single link pulldowns are also a no-no. Ok if you are adding more, but if the site isnt finished then it shouldnt launch in the first place. If I see a site that obviously isnt finished, I leave, especially if you are trying to get me to spend. The fact that I placed an order is a testament to your products, but that is another topic. Im guessing most first time visitors would not do the same.

The home link should be products and products only. The items under the home menu, links, and manuals should all be under a help or FAQ menu. The home link being full of support items makes it appear that is what the bulk visitors are after, again not the impression you want to give to the customer.

Again, I apologize if you took my previous post personally. I thought my initial reply to the post was a bit tame, compared to how I felt after trying to check my order. This forum is all about information sharing, and people helping each other out. I dont come on here to insult peoples work, but I will call it how I see it, especially if Im spending $.

After reading my post I will say its a step in the right direction and I hope you guys the best, which is why im even bothering writing this, well, and the fact you quoted me. ;) All I can say is hurry up! Dont want you guys to lose first time customers with an unfinished site. One of my friends has been drooling over my JS and I sent him your direction. He came back after checking the site with: "C'mon man, is that even a real site? Why cant you just tell me where you ordered it?"

Hey,

First off im sorry if i came off as if i thought you attacked me, etc - it was just late, and i guess i should have worded myself with a bit more caution.

I never felt attacked, nor did i mean to "attack" you or anyone else :p

I do understand everything you write and for the most part i agree with you. Some things however, i dont fully agree on:

In order to test a website you need to do a test. This test is best being run by a fully working, participating audience. And yes, i agree missing a tracking number, having a t-shirt ad we dont even carry is not so good - but, the bit about "Feeling unsafe about spending money there" i dont agree on. We dont launch anything, test phase or not, that is unsafe to our customers, money wise.

But we are in the middle of a state of Chaos. You have to realise that Janty is not a company residing in one spot, it is infact a web that is still being woven, integrating both users and janty staff people across the globe. So yes, we might not be as cleancut at the moment as all other companies, but at the same time we are re-thinking ourselves, redoing our designs, listening to customers, and improving on our current products and customer service.

You have to remember, that all the liquids, products, and so on on Janty's pages are being produced by us - sold by us, manufactured by us and designed by us: this fact alone creates a bundle of work that has to be coordinated across the globe, syncronized across multiple networks, emails, pms, skype conversations, etc.

So - no, im definately not being angry, upset or anything, i just wanted to try to give another perspective of Janty: The perspective that shows you, in this case, that we are more than just a simple storefront selling mods from other people.

We are Janty. For better or worse - and hopefully with the new upcoming products and website launch, we will become better at what we love to do; Bring you new exciting products.

Hope that clarifies my standpoint a bit, without turning this thread into an argument
