Hey Kate,
I'm following you around-not really stalking you. You just have great taste in products, recipes, and fillers!.

I've felt from the start that there was something wrong with my first JS but I didn't have anything with which to compare it. (I wrote of my problems in this forum back then)

Last night I was ready to scream because my hands hurt so much from trying to screw in the atty after blowing it out. Also the switch got stuck which can't be good but it did pop back out. I finally gave up after trying everything and went to bed nearly in tears.

I had a few minutes today at work and with a screwdriver to fiddle with the screw in the bottom of the atty hole, a pen to stabilize and keep the atty round and pliers to tighten it down, I finally got it to work but I know it shouldn't be that difficult. So far, I've ruined two Janty attys, one DAWA atty and two 801 attys. That's an expensive JS.

For some unknown reason I ordered two more from Dietsmokes which arrived today and the first one went together like a charm the very first try!!!! I'm getting ready to set up hubby's for him and just hope I have the same experience as I did with the first one from Parker.

Guess the original one is going to have to go back but I hate to return things. :(

Absolutely. Part of the allure of the JS was the inexpensive batteries. I'm ordering new as we speak, even. I'm just curious as to the when and whys to replacement of other users, ya know? Yours won't take a charge worth a damn (thus the screams) while mine take a charge just fine via wall charger or the JS USB cord -- They just don't get the coil hot enough to properly excite the liquid into a nice tasting, hard hitting vape.

I'm thinking your case is the norm, though. And I'm thinking my batts are about a week or so away from making the charger scream too.

Hello Richie G,

To me, it sounds more like you have an atomizer that might have seen the best of its life already.

If an atomizer is heavily used the material that gets heated up can get thinner, thus making it produce heavier vapor. If you then imagine this being put to use with a fully charged battery i think the chances are that the liquid is cooked so hard, that you dont take so long drags on it ( as the vape is vaporgasmic as you say ) - and once the battery dies down a little, but still should be usable, to 3.7v's you start taking longer drags, and these longer drags might cause the thinned out parts of the atomizer to cook the juice in certain places, -- if you see my logic.

So try a different atomizer - preferably a new, if you can, and see if this works better in the 7th hour?

Sorry, should have added the void warranty to my original suggestion as I DO NOT want to fall out of favor with Janty and crew - they have been too nice and too helpful

Stick with Ethan for a replacement that works for you. Like you indicated, the replacement body gets to you before you have to let go of the one you have. And, the returns will hopefully cycle back in to R&D for continued improvements.

Janty's main page as well as all stores will be going down for some quick changes to the database to address some issues that have been found. No information should be lost during this change. We are also making some needed changes to how the signup process works. Everything should be back to normal shortly.

Maintenance starts at 10PM CST / 04:00 UTC
Estimated Downtime: 1-2 hours

MAINTENANCE IS OVER! SITES ARE BACK UP!

I wanted to go ahead and let you guys know what the maintenance was for.

With the integration of all 3 stores into the main site and to make things a little more seemless between the sites, we decided to merge all users into one database and then share that information with the other stores. This required some database modifications. One thing we didn't see as being an issue at first was the information for store info such as addresses and such. After some going back and forth between everyone, I decided to go ahead and implement the next phase of updates to the store now instead of waiting. You now have your billing/shipping information stored between accounts. If you've signed up and purchased from one store, your information will be available for all stores now.

Making changes like we've had to make means that there are some issues with things not wanting to work together. I hope you guys can understand that and will still have faith in what we do. :)

The next update that we're looking in to and that I'm currently working out the coding issues is to have just one centralized area where you can view any orders for any of the stores instead of having to go to that specific store. There are also a few more interesting changes that will be happening soon as well but I can't tell you guys about those yet, but I'm sure you will all like it!

If you have any issues, either email helpdesk@jantyworld.com and Mik or myself will help you out.

Do you have (or have you lost) the old databases of past orders? Do you intend to incorporate them into the new site?

Just curious.

Thanks

Hey

We have everything kept as a backup, and we are able to view them. They are not, and probably will not be transfered to the new store, due to the insane amount of work it would require. But ofcourse we keep them so we can look them up in case of dispute, for tax reasons, and so on!

Can we get a Janty consensus on the warranty issue for opening the case? Ethan and Ludo seemed to indicate that this should NOT void the warranty, but now Mik has contradicted that. IMHO, just opening it shouldn't be a problem and should, in fact, be a normal part of user maintenance, since we're using liquids in electronics after all.

So just to claify, the stock Janty JS atty is not good for wicking? I just got mine yesterday and am struggling a bit on lack of taste, wicking etc. Should I look into buying some 801 or 112 atty's from someone? Will it improve things? I was under the impression that the stock atty it came with was a standard 801.

I think you'll find with a little bit of reading that most people have no trouble at all with the stock atty, for either carts or dripping. Personally, I think it has more to do with the juice you use than anything else, but it's possible to get a bad atty as well. I use them all interchangeably, some are better than others, for sure, but just about any of them will work.

I dont think it was the juices problem. Cause I used thier atty and thier juice, then some new juices from dawn and it still wouldnt even try to use the cart. The cart would stay soaking wet all day, but I could get no vape at all unless I dripped, which for me is a pain in the .... Even my hubs stick was the same way, pg/vg, no luck with JS attys. So I got 3 more from Rocky Mountain Vapor, really cheap, no shipping, and noticed the atty is really high, I havent seen them like this before. Now with both the juices, from JS and Dawn (ecigsmokestore) Im able to vape until my cart is damn near dry, even better than my 901. And I had a ton of people give me all kinds of tips, cut the cart, bring it out, ect...nothing. So yes, IMO get some attys from RMV fast. Without those the Janty stick is crap, again IMO. With those, I freakin love it!
