you know the duration of the batteries is dependent on the amount you use it. I use about 3 ml/day and had my batteries last 4-5 hrs. The type of hit I usually take is a "direct" hit inhaling directly from the JS. I normally just keep inhaling until the JS flashes.

I think that maybe you should read some of the lithium battery threads here on ECF and see if you are using optimal techniques.

Hope that this has been helpful.

Your vaping time sounds about right, given the way you use it. My batts last 3 or 4 hours, but, like many people, I vape about the same as I would an analog smoke, i.e., 10 or 15 puffs every 30 minutes or so, sometimes two analog's worth at the same 'smoke break', but not constantly like you.

I'm curious here, TM... about how much e-liquid do you use per day?

I've NEVER used the usb charger, I got a couple of those little wall chargers for the Cigar batteries. I do think they are more reliable to charge, I vape constantly and get a four hour runtime with batteries out of my wall mounted chargers. I just don't like anything more plugged into my PC drawing power. I have external hard drives plugged in, but even they have their own power supply. So if anyone needs an extra USB I have a bunch never used.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

You are going to need some liquid or lots of carts immediately. Maybe you can explain your situation to a retailer such as dietsmokes and see what they can do to help you out. I have nothing to do with dietsmokes, but there was stuff in stock when I ordered last week. Appears that the usa site doesn't have much in stock, so who knows how long you will wait.

Note to Janty:
Given the missing items and packing quality, it seems like it was sent out without a QC process/packing checklist. People have become dependent on these items to stay away from smokes. I could probably guess that the domestic cigarette factories never take a week off either. Maybe Janty USA could hire an extra hand to help things run smoothly???

I'm not trying to hack anyone off, but there does seem to be areas for improvement. I like my Janty product and hopefully I can get items quickly when I need them.

... so it's official - I am a vape - HAWG!!! :D

I knew I'd be getting less time per battery than those who take a few hits then put the thing down. I noticed that when I started with 510's and got about 45 mins per battery. :)

what had me curious was getting the same amount of time from an 801 auto battery. same vaping style.
the batteries that came with the device seem fine otherwise - I'm not experiencing any weak or inconsistent hits.

I tried searching to see the difference (if any) in these two batteries
but I was not successful.

In theory, should one last longer - or am I waaaay off in my thinking?

...I vape constantly and get a four hour runtime with batteries out of my wall mounted chargers....

see....
kate51's a vape-HAWG and she gets 4 hours *hurrumph*

;)

I don't have a separate charger, but I certainly would consider getting one - a usb/cig ligter/car charger as well.
I've been using the wall charger part of my kensington, and it takes about 1 1/2 hrs to charge.

thanks for the responses everyone

Im not allowed to do anything at the moment, - nor discuss the size of it. But im trying still to obtain the permission to do so.

I will however tell you (even though this will get me killed) that it IS going to be delayed, by quite a bit. I just spoke with our factory and theres a handful of problems that just arose - and thats on top of the other problems. *sigh*. :)

But, we are working on it. However, i might soon be able to tell you guys something about some other upcoming products that _will_ land soon. Again, im working on this, so .. give me some time, doing the best i can.

And for those of you still guessing, the competition IS over. ;)

If it IS very new, you could also expect some amount of time for the batteries to kick in really good: some batteries have to be charged a few times in order to gain their maximum potential

But, yes, if you do vape consistently on it for say 2 hours, then .. to be honest, thats a LONG time for it to last - especially if you vape hard ;) 2 hours of making an atomizer glow almost non stop will drain a battery fast, so..

what you do have to remember is, once youre outside your home and vape on it, you wont be able to vape on it nonstop - you will have to take breaks - and thats when you can really feel how long it lasts. And at home, you still do have the option of just keeping it plugged in the usb.

;)

I have heard that Janty Stick V2 has a new version of janty classic atomizer. Is it true?

Originally, I thought that V2 is difference from V1 only in the improve body, mainly on the switch. Anybody know the difference of V1 and V2 please give some comment.

the V2 is also protecting the electronics better from liquid getting into it, and i believe has a better connector from battery to atomizer screw-on part.

Thanks for your replies,Mik. I appreciate your feedback even if it isnt a Janty approved method. Figured someone at Janty would have much more experience at this and sounds like maybe I just got a bad atomizer. When I first started using it, did notice it didnt have anywhere near the kick as the TAWA I ordered at the same time, which I found odd. So I have been switching back to the Janty atomizer durring non-crucial nicotine moments, and it finally died all the way this morning. Hisses a little bit but no vapor at all.

What is the best and quickest response method for submitting a warranty claim, support ticket, email, or both? I want a working Janty atomizer as quick as possible, as this one lasted less than 3 weeks, and I already have 20 bucks tied up in the Dura adapter and am not going to spend any more money at Janty until that one is resolved.

No dig on Janty with the above statements, Im a bit grumpy when Im not getting a good nic hit, and Im not going to pepper my statements with smiley faces and winks.

go to jantyworld.com and submit a ticket through our helpdesk - and then you will be contacted with either how to send it back or be asked for your adress concerning where we should send you a replacement.

Remember to state your "problem" in the ticket, seeing as i might not read it / could be someone else.

=)

I'm not angry, a bit miffed maybe. I did read the entire thread and I disagree with their decision, which is what I'm expressing. I don't think I've attacked anyone, I've just stated my case.

Fact: Janty, and their representative promised something and didn't deliver.

I and others were obviously frustrated by this, why not make it right. Give us a peek at the concept, with the understanding that the details are not set.

Fact: Mik_Janty has taken the opportunity in several posts to make "metal tube" comments.

His response to my post was not the first. I just pointed out the benefit of metal over plastic. You'll notice I also pointed out the Stick's benefit of compact design. Different devices have different features. I could throw my Prodigy across the parking lot, pick it up and start vaping, but it's not the most comfortable thing to have in your pocket.

So no anger here, just healthy debate and expressing my displeasure at a promise not kept. What else am I going to do stuck in Houston for the weekend? I've caught up on all my TV, and all the new movies are crap. I'd go for a bike ride but someone set the Texas thermostat to "hell" and I only have one free shower left.

Facts?

Lets do facts.

1) I made a competiton based on the consent of my employer where i was told i could release all detail upon the ending of the competition.
2) I was then told in the 11th hour NOT to release the details - even though this was something i knew would reflect back at me - and badly.
3) The only "metal housing" references ive made has been to show people that when you develop something thats NOT in metal, you need more machinery, you need a prototype mould, a master mould, a factory, and so on. You need _alot_ more to make a plastic product, than you will ever need to make a metal product.
4) when we make plastic products, we make them so we decide _everything_ about them. Every corner, every rounding, everything; And it allows us to integrate our components. Yes. Components - the very thing that the products YOU mention, lack.
5) Our products are not just a battery + atomizer. See fact 4)
6) Most of our products, have integrated circuit boards to protect the user - this is something not many, if anyone else, is doing
7) Alot of our products have USB charging; A nice handy solution that we do for our customers sake, and not for our own: It would be easier to sell a charger. But as we know, alot of people hate having chargers around
8) We have customer support, guarantees, and our own liquid which is tested - that is also something we do for our customers.

So, from all of the above i hope you can see that im not trying to harass another company; I dont care about them. I think its nice that someone buys the prodigy and the protege, but in my eyes, ive grown tired of those types of devices. If anything theyre holding back the progress of Electronic Cigarettes. They are too simple, and too backyard-like (My personal opinion).

I dont mind the idea of making stuff simple, at all - and who knows, maybe we will make a prodigy/protege like device at some point - but if we do, it will atleast have the design we like, and it will be backed by the guarantee and support we can offer. If you then still want to choose a metal object over a plastic one, then so be it.

Personally i prefer plastic over metal for a very simple reason: Weight. I dont like putting a metal object in my pants, or in my shirtpocket. If you drive a truck and you dont care about anything else in the world but durability, well go ahead and get the prodigy. My choice? Two jantysticks. One for backup. Same price, but offers tons more mobility and even though it has an "odd look", it will still be nicer to look at for people passing by, than the huge gigantic object made out of steel that just.. well to me, looks wrong.

So - it all comes down to personal preference, but the facts still remain - and i STILL dont care if you prefer metal. Thats fine by me. Who knows, maybe we will make a metal e-cigarette at one point. But if we do, ill make damn sure its beautiful to look at.

Now..please dont take this post as being aggressive, - im just trying to point out facts, and my personal reasoning. If you wish to discuss further, fine; but keep it in an orderly manner, or i will just end up not replying you.

I wasn't part of the contest but I am a proud owner of the Janty Stick. I understand both sides the customers expectations from a company that they want to be loyal to and a company that experienced a common snag in the production of a new item(it happens thats business)

I would suggest (and think is also proper business) all contestants posting prior to notification of delayed reveal some kind of compensation the ones after notified delay are SOL( I mean that's only fair if you read the entire thread and still posted you were not disappointed)

The compensation need not be big i.e. an atty or two, juice, discount on a future order etc something or another ( because the situation wasn't fraudulent just overzealous actions for a new item) but a compensation that would indicate that customer loyalty is important and the loyal customers matter.

everyone should understand the situation, but i can see how some feel like their
"dream" was destroyed (just making a point a bit exagerated)

I bought a discount mp3 player advertised NEW then realized it was a refurb.. the company buys in bulk and over saw the mistake, but did compensate for the mistake.

If we were to send you a refurbished item, or a used one, yes, then you would definately be entitled to an apology and a compensation; I dont view this as the same thing though.

So , no we wont give out bottles of liquid or other stuff, because of this, sorry.

I am still working on getting more info though, - and on other products.
