Officially retiring my Merlins! 3 weeks without any sign of a leak or condensation. Tonight 10 minutes of use no rewick or refill and suddenly juice everywhere. Loved this Rta but Kayfun v5 for me all the time from now on.
Thats why I want to get some better o rings for it.

I would agree with you if it was not press fitted.Just too much hassle compared to my Kayfun v5's.
Have the kayfuns gotten better? I had the 3.1 lite clone, and it was plastic tank, and really small build deck and juice wick wells.

So I am looking to finally get around to buying better o-rings for the Merlin. I sent the company an email asking for a specific list of all the o-rings and position they go. So far this is what I have. (I am only listing the ones I can reach without unpressing anything)

Quantity : size

1 : 5x1 mm
1 : 8x1 mm
1 : 12x1 mm
1 : 15x1 mm
3 : 20x1.2 mm

One question I have is does anyone know the type of material that the o-rings are made of?

"O-rings are available in several different materials such as PTFE, Nitrile (Buna), Neoprene, EPDM Rubber and Fluorocarbon (Viton)." (source)

I have no idea what the originals are made of but was told to use buna 70.That is what i use in my kayfun v5's.Here is a link what i use.

I have managed to dodge the bullet on the leakage. Balanced out by one of my fav RTAs the Billow V3 Plus leaking between the base seams. I do hope they fix that. In any case took advantage of eciggity Black Friday and third Merlin on the way. They just have the blacks left. Nothing in my experience rewicks faster than Merlin.

Does anyone know if there are any mod options available for the Merlin?
It would be sweet to have more juice capacity. I vape my 2 tanks at 30 watts and blaze through juice.
I find that they don't have time to leak or seep anymore with a hotter build in the 0.5 ohm range.

Great vape despite the flaws. my 2 are from STS from the first batch with serial numbers well under 1,000 so I got one with a wonky deck and loose jfc. when @ccwaters makes a Youtube video showing his easy fix i might attempt the fix ( probably not)!!

Wicking is a breeze ( I actually blow on mine to fluff them )!!
Congrats on getting a 3rd merlin:thumb:

@ricks you like it better than the Kayfun v5? Or the older Kayfuns?
Never tried the V5. It looks too tall. I've had all the older versions tho. I heard that they're too airy to vape also. I like some restriction when I vape.

I've gotten into the habit of wicking a lot more frequently than I have in the past. Don't know if it's the juice I use but I don't go through more than two tanks without rewicking. The vape just tastes better. Flip the Merlin upside down, unscrew and everything is right there easily accessible. I don't have enough patience to remove chambers and to fiddle with those old style Griffin-like wells that take extra time. For me anyway. I don't want to spend more than five minutes if possible.

When I rewick my Merlins I fill the tank from the liquid feed holes before putting it back together. I find I can get a little more liquid in them and it makes the whole process quicker.

Merlins are better than Kayfuns for building and vaping for me. I use my Kayfuns for tasting new liquids only now.
I would agree. I had one of the older Kayfuns, but that thing was tiny, and had so many parts that had to be cleaned when I would rebuild it. I just looked at some of the newer Kayfuns, and they still look like they have a very small build deck and a lot of parts.
