OK so I ditched the notch coil , removed the mtl screw, put in a 26ga nickel coil, reworked, and all is good... thanks for the input guys....

I love a 2.5 mm id in mine but that is with the restrictor in. would probably go up to 3.0 mm or 3.5 mm without restrictor.

And here I am with a 3 mm coil and the restrictor in. Nice thing with this tank is how forgiving it is for varying configurations. They all seem to work to your personal preference.

I've just been using 26g 316ss. I went all day with little or no leaking but am having to close the juice valve when not using it. I switched back to my rafale tank and am going to experiment with wicking over the weekend. I ordered a new Merlin today so I can see if I got a bad one or am not wicking right.

Mine is working great now EXCEPT I get a huge puddle, like 2ml if I lay it down. I don't like turning off the juice control cuz I forget to open it up again. Time to rewick...

Sounds kinda like the problem I'm having on and off. Make sure the oring is in place under the top cap. I seem to have more problems when mine is filled up most of the way. I've been running the smoked glass and am having a hard time seeing the juice holes. I'm going to switch back to the clear.
