What size drill bit? Thanks

I used a 3/32 bit. I've tried 32g, 30g, and 28g. I haven't worried about the wraps, just trying to figure out how to get them touching.

I might pull the coil out of the RM2 tonight and try the "CATastrophe Technique". I need to get a vice to try the "Treebeard Technique".

Pull your wick and dry burn your coil. Then fire it to glowing and as soon as you let off the button squeeze the coils together with pliers, tweezers or hemostats. Hold them together until they cool. They should hold their shape but might get misaligned a bit. If so just thread your bit back through to line them up for your wick. After a few tries you'll get it just right.

Great explanation! I've been more than delighted with my simple coil/wick set-up. Perhaps I'll give a micro coil a shot this weekend.

He we go...

Used tweasers, worked great. I took a coil I made last night that looked ok and started with that. Came out to only 1.4 ohms, I think it was 28g. Sorry for the lame cell phone pic.

I posted this in another thread and it's not a very good pic, either, but I'm no pro at shots of tiny things. :D
Specs:
I've got at least 2 ml of juice through this already. I'm sportin' hornets on my minis. This is 10 wraps of 30g on a 16g needle. I think it's about 1.8ish ohms.

That's it. I'm going to try it. I thought I was done fiddling. Not.

Go for it, Deb! I think it's fun experimenting with it. I do keep notes though. It's way too hard to count all those wraps when it's done.
I can't rely on my memory either, because I use a different number of wraps for husband's RM2, my RM2 and sometimes vary it on the hornets depending on juice type.

I'll do it when the VV arrives. Get a bottle of COQ10 -- if I remember correctly, it helps with memory. ;)

That looks a lot more like it. How's it vaping now?

Started reallly, really good. But now its ... well...lousy. Heating slow, only hitting 3.3v on a fresh battery. So, checked the wick - burnt.

New wick and back up. Going to keep running with this tonight, shot for a 1.8ohm coil tomorrow.

Does this make me a Scientist? I measured it "scientifically".

Edit: one thing I'm noticing is the vapor is fairly cool, I prefer warm.
