Second to AMG, not too shabby, albeit 30 seconds off the pace. I think Bottas would have been serious competition for Seb though had he raced.

Sucked about Kimi, he woulda been 4th had they not screwed up his car in that first long stop. My guess is the left rear mechanic is hanging out with Luca right now.

Coulda woulda shoulda aside, I was surprised at how much attention the middle and back markers (yes, p10-12) got during the race. Unusual to see so much coverage of them when there was a Ferrari and 2 AMG's up in P1, 2 and 3.

This season looks like it'll be great. Competition from P3 back to P10 looks like it'll be pretty stiff.

Yes, Lewis is much less distracted now that he rid himself of his woman. I predict he will completely dominate and ROS will only win if Lewis has reliability issues. Last year was as close as ROS will come to the world championship if Lewis's car proves reliable.

Now my predictions:
Drivers:
HAM
ROS
VET
BOT
RAI
MAS
RIC
NAS
SAINZ
GRO

Constructors:
AMG
FERRARI
WILLIAMS
SAUBER
STR
LOTUS
RBR

I think the middle and back of the pack got a fair bit of air time, mainly cos of so few runners

Normally the coverage I watch, they tend to stick to the guys that are racing close together. Anything more than a couple of seconds gap, they probably think isn't exciting enough, less chance of overtakes.

I'm pretty much with you mate on the predictions, but I think Massa will be a little higher up the pecking order. If Lewis' ex is looking for a good home, I wouldn't say no

AMG will run away with this year again. They were lifting and coasting a lot based on the few onboard footage we got of them (Rosberg in particular). To summarize this year's Australian GP:

I noticed the lifting off too. Every time Rosberg picked up the pace to close the gap to Lewis, the next sector Lewis speeded up a bit too. I wonder if the gap to the rest of the pack will be bigger when we get to a higher speed track.

Certainly a more entertaining race than Australia. I'm not a Vettel fan but it is refreshing to see to someone - anyone - run with the Mercs. If the SF15-T is as good as it looked, hopefully Kimi can shake his terrible luck and start running up front. And, lol @ Red Bull.

I used to HATE Vettel but now that he's with FERRARI he's Seb to me now and my second favorite driver.

Ya know, in spite of Kimis missing Q3, getting a puncture right after pit lane entrance and battling thru the pack - his 4th place says a lot about him and the car.

Again, epic day for us tifosi.

And yes I'm glad to see RBR whining like the biatchs they are :)

OMG.

My praise to the gods of F1

And Seb and the boys at Maranello.

Sunday was a day for the world of F1 to rejoice. Purely epic.

I had a feeling you'd be happy with the race outcome  Was a cracking race though, plenty of epic overtakes, pit lane dramas and great strategy. That's the most emotional I've seen Vettel for a very long time, you could see that win meant a lot to him. I bet you were bouncing off the ceiling when the chequered flag went down

I watched it last night in bed - practice, quali and the entire race (skipped thru all commercials).

I woke my wife up around 12:30 am when Vettel crossed the line with just a few fist pumps and subtle laughter :)

I can assure you that ROS regrets that press interview when he asked Seb when they were gonna get competitive :)

I am still bouncing off the ceiling :)

Of course seb was emotional, his first win in the Ferrari and finally a chance to follow in his heros footsteps! I've liked him since he started in f1 a very clever technical driver maybe lacking in raw talent like Hamilton has but very balanced and the only modern driver with the approach first seen with Schumacher, not a massive fan of Ferrari but nice to see seb back up front and the merc's actually being challenged, I'm waiting to see if McLaren can pull it together, they are starting from scratch with Honda this year but both them and Honda have potential and ability, just glad to see this season shaping up to be more interesting and my prediction is the title will be between Lewis and seb

Sounds like a mega session of F1 mate :) I hope the Wife didn't kick you out of bed and into the spare bedroom afterwards

Rosberg seems to make a habit of slipping up in interviews, thought he would have learned his lesson after last season. Things are shaping up nicely for some great battles this season.

I admit he is a very technical driver. Now he's in a position to challenge for wins and in a car that suits his driving style better, there will definitely be more "edge of the seat" moments. Ferrari had the better strategy this time and they seemed a lot kinder to the tyres too. I'm a big fan of Hamilton, but I really do hope all the other teams challenge them for more wins this year. I remember last season a few people were saying that Vettel's previous wins were all down to the car, he's proved them wrong now :D

Bit of a let down having to finish behind the safety car. But it does look like Ferrari are slowly closing the gap to the Mercs.

Shame Rosberg spat out his dummy, but I think Lewis handled it quite well overall.

DVR error caused me to miss the entire race [emoji16]

But I did see all of Bahrain. It was a killer race :)

That's a real shame mate, you missed a cracking race. Is there nowhere else you can download it from on the net to watch it ??

I bet you were pleased with the result - great battle with the prancing horse and the silver arrows. They really put on a great show at Bahrain :)
