Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

newb question. i ordered 30awg kanthal to make my own micro coils for my kanger mini pro2. how many wraps to obtain low ohm and will still fit in the housing?

Reference this chart from xoboloot (I think).

So, 5 wraps of 30 ga would give you about .83 ohms. Most low ohm guys are using 27 or 28 ga, so you can have 10 coils, which seems to be the preferred coil count.

but will 10 wraps fit in my device?

i guess the true way to know if just make the coils and then ohm test with a meter to be safe.

Testing it is always recommended. I used to fit a 10 wrap in my Evod heads, which are basically the same as the protank heads. Sometimes using a smaller wire and dropping 1 or 2 coils so you have 8 total worked very well also.

Experimentation is the key here.

I use to just use my smallest flat head and run it across to count.

But what I wasn't sure was if u counted and outsides as one or both being just 1 wrap (for kayfun coils).

I count mine braille style to when im building a coil in the dark.. I count every bump as one ..
you can get hotlegs out by running screwdriver over the top like that aswell

I just got 1.35 ohms with dual 30g coils at 13 wraps on a RM2. Nothing loose, nothing broken.

Do I need some experimenting? Vapes good.

When I did that chart it was with a .055" mandrel. Your coils look smaller, like nano coils. That and you used dual coils are why your ohms are lower :)

Nope, no experimentation needed. Depending on the diameter of the mandrel (you didn't say), at 13 wraps single coil could very easily be in the 2.7 ohms range, yielding your 1.35 ohms for duals.

More importantly, if it vapes good, and you are satisfied, then you're golden.

Sorry. lol I was kind of tooting my own horn. It was on a piece of 1/16th copper rod. I'm honestly not sure what the ID is.

It's a good vape though.

It's 1/16 which is 0.0625", so a little bigger than the 0.055 in the chart. Your resistance is right where it should be.

Horn Toot away my friend. Lol

Hi guys. I did one experiment for chasing low wattage vaping for sparing batteries. I'm using provari and vamo. Nothing satisfactory yet but I will put what I did here to see if someone finds something wrong in my logic. I took out my 32 gauge kanthal and rolled a dual coil at 1.6 ohms. Result a unsatisfactory. The logic behind what I am doing is that when you use high gauge wires you need less wattage because they heat up fast but higher voltage to accommodate for high resistance. I'm aiming at 8 watts dual coil (4 watts each) to prove my point. I realized that the 1.6 ohms is still not satisfactory. My next experiment will be with 2 ohms dual coil to increase surface area.

I wonder if sub-ohm vaping will one day be replaced with sub-watt vaping..

"Dude, check out my 20ohm micro coil with 45ga Kanthal. At 4 volts I'm hitting 0.8 watts! I can take a 10 second lung hit and get only a wisp of vapor. I've been rocking this battery for 2 weeks! It's sick as t**s!"

"Bro that's barely even sub-watt, I'm at 0.2 watts. I don't even have a battery in mod because it doesn't even matter. 0.8 watts is for noobs."

"Guys did you see RipTrippers vid. He thinks 15ohm and 4 volts is going sub-watt. What a tool."

Hmmmm... probably not.

Not sure if that was sarcastic, making fun of me, or just throwing it in there, but I pressed like because you made me laugh :D

On a serious note, when microcoils were invented or discovered by superx, people were already building coils out of 28 awg and twisted wires that seemed giving better performance on genesis atomizers with a mechanical. They were already subohming. The problem with 32 and higher gauge wires is that we didn't give them enough experiments. I'm just speculating here I have no idea what others did or do but for me all my efforts were based on lower gauge wires. The coils we used to do with higher gauge were not optimal enough to judge them. For example 10 wraps of 28 gauge wire has the same length of 16 wraps 32 gauge wire which ends up around 4.2 ohms. Have anyone tried a microcoil like that before? Maybe it will perform well at 8 watts and gives what I need at half the wattage I usually vape at.
