Hello

Just a brief note, am currently an "analog" smoker (all these new terms are killing me!), I tried out a tossaway model of a personal vaporizer and am convinced this is the route I need to take. Managed to make it through a stressful day of driving and doctors office visits with no nic fits. That is a wonderful thing.
Just ordered my first rechargable, a 510 slim. And my first vial of liquid. Not sure how well I like the idea of having to refill all the time , but since at present I am rolling my own, it won't be too much trouble to just make cartridges every day instead of packs.

I've already made myself comfortable in chat (kudos for providing an irc chat! big help!), and now I'm establishing myself here.

Thanks to everyone who's given me tips and tricks, especially Asti who has gone out of her way to make sure I know what I am doing when I finally get my kit.

Hope everyone had a good holiday, and has good holidays in the coming months as well,
DMF:vapor:

Lol! Thanks Asti!!
I am doing great with the new 510, wishing I'd gotten one of the mega batteries to go with it, but other than that, the whole experience has been a positive one. I have spent most of my time in chat and very little on the boards, unfortunately I've missed out on some great instruction I guess.

ordered hubby and father inlaw rivas, hoping they can have as much success as I have had. I am presently smoking maybe one to three analogs a day. that's pretty dang great for a pack a day smoker!!! .And I really am not missing analog much, just now and again the need to bring my hand to my mouth more than once or twice in a five minute span makes analogs still useful. Hopefully that will stretch out to nothing.

Matthew, I've been planning to go "perm" for over a year now, but waited till prices came down, availability came up and govt got the heck outta the way.
Then I waited till one inexpensive one came out in a brick and mortar store to test it out, as I didn't want to invest a big amount in something I would be unsuccessful with. Once I tried it, I knew I waited too long and shoulda done this a long time ago.

Welcome DMF. You've come to the right place. There are many experienced ones here to help you along the way.
I'm still a 30 day newbie, so my advice is very limited, but I know that a few months from now, I will hopefully be able to give back to the board what others have given here to help me and many more. Only thoughts for you right now, is buy a few different bottles of juice from a couple of venders and buy small amounts at first. Your taste buds and expectations may change
in the first month.
Happy Vaping!
