Is this where everybody is now? I get so confused. That's not quite it ... I Am Confused. I thought we were here:

Mature Vapors (Immature ones too!)

Have we moved?

Anybody?

Bueller?

I think it's because we are all Bozos on this Bus. How Can You Be in Two Places at Once When You're Not Really Anywhere at All?

Bob, good to see you here. This was one of my secret get-away threads. Diana is our beautiful and wonderful owner of this thread. It has now become public knowledge that this thread exists. That said, I am always happy to be on a thread where you visit.

Now you have two threads in which to share your unique and interesting life. I visit both threads. You can't find two better people than Sandy and Diana.

Sooo, we've established that you're not shy, are you going to answer Sandy's question? Or maybe you're afraid.:D

Can't answer that question, Diana. I have never talked about women's toys in vain. Actually, I'd like to know the answer. I'm always open to learning new things.

No, afraid is another word not used to describe Bluesman.

How is it possible to have internet service one day and not the next?!? One of the unanswerable questions of the universe, I suspect, much like what truly is the purpose of life?

Yknow, Diana, that's an question on my mind:

Scenario:
I called corporate headquarters at Comcast because my internet service has been sporadic, and customer service has been useless. A real nice technical guy came out on Tuesday. Everything he checked was fine. Everything was working great when he got here.

.......Until.......

The minute the Comcast guy left it went down again. I had to reset everything. One computer still couldn't connect to wifi, so I had to reset it back to scratch, start over from square one as if there were no freaking two-week old Arris TG862G gateway.

The Comcast guy was really cool though. He explained that the infrastructure in this country is privately owned. It is old. Not good. Whether I use AT&T or Comcast, it will be the same. He told me that in countries where the government owns the infrastructure, it is state of the art.

I'm just going to wait until the suit at Corporate calls me to see how things went.

A wonky modem with an intermittent problem maybe? I hate intermittents. Such a pain to troubleshoot. :grr:

The tech guy said that it's probably an issue in our area -- he showed me the little machine that tests it, though, and it showed that our area is not one that has problems. He also feels like the company pays lots of money for people to draw pretty graphs and pictures showing that people have, for instance, 92% great service, or 95% great service, so they can show it to their investors. I really liked this guy.

I thought it was interesting about the aging infrastructure in the capitalistic countries. As opposed to the third world and/or communist countries where most people don't have a land line, and the government makes top notch cell tower thingie wire fibre communicato junk stuff.

Okay Blues, we need you, cuz it's all thingies to us :)
