Ummmm 38 is not middle aged.

Naw, but we didn't want to be with the 20 something's and there was a mature and a 55+ so it was the best available name remaining - at least we have a home! Thanks DLSW! Btw - the mature group isn't just for the mature of age, lol - and we have tons of fun in here when we're awake at the same time. Plus - you live in KY and 5 of us are from Ohio :) We're neighbors! I just didn't want to sit around and discuss college courses with people, lol! It's fine if we're taking them, cause there's some you go! and other camaraderie for doing the things that we in our 30 & 40's get to do - like house projects and such. Oh, and I have a babbling issue

Probably not technically, but it's in that great middle area of life (the younger side of middle age, definitely). I think a lot of this group (but not me) is on the younger side :)

By the way, your avatar made me think of "Mister Ed".

Teehee - I'm 39 - I think we're mostly mid 30's to 40's and the older kids from the Mature group like to drop in - and they welcome us youngins to their group so there's always some sort of conversation :) Bluesman is the one that now has the kitty avatar (and yes dlsw - it was a dog - you aren't crazy!)

So anywho, we don't really care how old anyone is, we just want to have fun and sometimes we actually discuss our individual loves. Mine is Leos & Leas - i'm pretty hardcore about mine, I don't use anything else unless we think I should use an old joye510 so that we don't look really out of place (Leos and Leas are a bit bigger than an ego). There are also provari fans (lucky schmucks!) and everything in between. We even have folks that are still using Mistics, Blus, Infinitis and we try to help them find a better set up if we can.

So it's a big hodge podge and I guess the only rules is be courteous - and in case you're worried - we all have a pretty wicked sense of humor :)

Bye for now - hope you come back often!

My fiance wants to watch Donnie Darko at 2 am or this would have been less babbly and made more sense probably!

I woke up to "get up, get hay nets, your coffee is cold, and we have that attendant from Saratoga".. Apparently I slept through all the pre load rituals this AM. Oh well.. A very wet 90degrees in Ocala Florida this pm.

Forgoing the Reo and the LT in favor of an ego with a vision or stardust or whatever we've decided to call them. Oh yeah, I discovered Dekang DK TAB yesterday. Good stuff. I don't know how it taste to everyone else but I get a rich toasty taste. Pretty good switch up from all the fruits n drinks.

And 38 IS NOT middle aged.... Lol

I like to buy the Dk Tab when it goes on sale then buy a lot of great quality VG RY4, mix the 2 together, and life is good. I have been a faithfull tobacco flav guy for months, and just recently I started trying some of the fruits and desserts. I must say I was very skeptical about how any of these off the wall flavors could be anywhere close to their names. I am pleasently surprised. I found that a lemon flav is like cleansing the palate between courses.
I am 36 and I agree 38 is NOT middle aged.

Well, not to burst any bubbles, but per Life Expectancy- United States the average life expectancy is as follows. So, if you fall in the middle of these ages, then you are "middle aged"...lol

Year Female Male US Average
2012 81.73 75.81 78.70

OK, now that I finished spending 20 minutes staring @ Kate... I am a 36 yr old male (just barely 4/14), so as you can see I am YEARS away from being middle aged. I also consider myself WAY above average;). With that said I almost belong in the next age group down. Also once you figure in the ole "its not the #, its how you feel" I'm practically still in high school. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Statistics mashmistis. Other than being half bald, and having a daughter going to college, and thinking soccer moms are hot, and having penchant for saying " when I was your age..", and having a greater concern over my health, and starting to preach the virtues of a high fiber diet, there are zero signs of me being middle aged!

Besides I don't even have a Sports Car! I drive an F150.. Pretty bad actually. Super crew, 4x4, 5.4 with a slightly more aggressive cam with phaser lock outs, leveled out and an extra leaf or two.. Riding on 305/50r/20's and Dub rims.. After market bars and bolt on fender guards.. Finished off with bug and window guards more for looks than function. I've been debating super charging it but I digress.

See! 38 is NOT middle aged!!! :(

Seeing how I have only have 2 plus years left in this age bracket, I had to hurry and jump in here. I too was worried about being there for my 3 kids.. I tried quitting several times. The last time for a year and went back to analogs. Finally I think I have done it for good. New years eve 2011 was my last real cig. I feel so much better all around! The kids are so proud of me, It's nice to finally not have that monkey on my back . And I wanted to be sure and be around to have the joy of grand kids when the time comes! I had my first child at 32 and the last one at 37. So I was already getting up there. I need all the energy I can get, but I wish I would have done it 15 years ago...or never started smoking at all.

Good for you. I know how you feel about having children later in life, and wanting to be there to see them grow up. I was 37 when my son was born. I was smoking almost 2 packs a day, and tried everything except the drugs to quit.. Nothing worked and I always went right back to smoking. I don't even like to take aspirin, so the drugs and their side effects were not for me. I kept thinking to myself that I'd be lucky if I lived long enough to see my son graduate. Plus, after smoking for as long as I did I wouldn't be able to get out and play sports with him. You don't see to many old men running the bases with an oxygen tank strapped to their backs. My last real cigarette was 10/20/2010, and after 30 years of smoking I was finally free. Never starting the habit at all would have been the best idea, but I'm happy my son came along when he did to make me re-think my choices. He saved my life, because if it wasn't for him I'm sure I'd still be smoking.
