This is going to happen. We all started with cigarettes unfortunately. Why did we pick them up in the first place ? To be cool, to fit in.

Look kid, vaping is not as dangerous as smoking. You will get addicted to nic eventually. It's an addiction that you will carry for the rest of your life. When your brain receptors crave nicotine, it's a terrible feeling.

I've managed to quit drugs and alcohol. As for nicotine I have not, and probably never will.

IF your a non smoker you have no business vaping. Best thing to do is sell or give it to a smoker who needs to quit. It's for people who want to quit smoking.

According to you, since I was never a smoker, then I should get rid of all my vaping gear? Really? This is one of the most idiotic posts I have seen in here. And as soon as a smoker is able to achieve 0 Nic and kicked nicotine, they must get rid of their gear right?

The OP ordered the wrong juice and asked a simple question.. Standing above them and lecturing them about having no business to Vape is pretty high and mighty... Don't you think?

Bottom line is if you're gravitating toward something I guess I'd rather that it be combustion-product free.

Try zero nic for the flavors. If zero doesn't do it for you...try very LOW nic.

Better e-cigs than cigs or other burnt stuff. Better e-cigs than most forms of tobacco too...with a lot of other chemicals in it. Yet...best...is nothing at all.

There's no guarantee that e-cigs are safe. We have some data, but nobody has even 20 years of history on this. So....it's a good chance that you're harming yourself.

Nic, even without WTA, is still addictive. And it's a vascular constrictor.

It's a free country.

I agree that post was a bit harsh. That being said I don't think its the worst idea ever. Only problem would be if you do become addicted and eventually turn to regular cigs. That would be a disaster!

Which is it? Either you smoke or you don't. If you don't smoke, why are you trying an e-cig?

My bovine excretement detector is going a mile a minute with this one.

Your last comment cracks me up lol. Moving on to the matter at hand. If you do not smoke, I'm not sure why you are wanting to start vaping, nicotine is not something you should play with. Generally people vape to help them quit, not to start. I guess at least you are looking at a cleaner way to start smoking. Nicotine is an extremely addictive chemical. Now if you are a smoker, then give it a try and if it is too much you can always buy a bottle with a lower level of nicotine. There are tons of vendors that have ejuices with 0 nicotine.

Your post is confusing, smoke/don't smoke. IMHO, if you don't smoke or vape now, it would be a good idea not to start. It's a free country and you can do what you please in the confines of the law. If you are going to procede, check with your supplier to exchange your 18 mg for 0 mg. And like other posters have stated, nicotine is addictive.

Guys relax on the parental advice. The dude (or chick) wants to experiment with vaping. Even if we don't agree with that, he has a right to do whatever he wants with his body and money. Its obvious when he said "not to quit smoking", it meant that he doesn't smoke, and therefore isn't trying to quit like the vast majority of vapers.

To the OP - I'd strongly suggest that you don't vape the 18mg/ml stuff. That strength of nicotine was designed for people who smoked a pack a day (which is alot). Don't get all freaked out and start panicking if you already vaped a little bit of the 18mg, it doesn't mean your life is doomed or that you're already an addict. Just stop vaping it and give it away/throw it away. Chances are, if you keep vaping that stuff you will get hooked for life. Buy some 0mg stuff (nicotine free - no addiction included) and vape away. For 0mg, I'd recommend menthol vapes. Very cool and tingly sensation and mimicks a good throat hit and it doesn't clash with anything (food, drink, etc).

1. Nicotine is addictive.

2. It usually takes a while to develop a nicotine addiction. Generally several years--with smoking that is, and smoking is the most addictive form of nicotine use.

3. Zero nicotine juice is readily available. You'll want to check out the Vendor's here, or google search "USA Made Zero Nicotine E-Liquid". Most vendors of USA made juice have zero nicotine varieties.

4. Check the exchange policy of the supplier you bought this juice from. You may be able to exchange it for a zero nicotine juice.

5. As a non-smoker who is experimenting with vaping, be fore warned you will receive flack from many vapers (I'm not one of them) for taking up vaping. The vast majority of vapers right now have used or are using PVs to quit smoking, or in my case switch to a form of nicotine uses that has fewer health consequences.

The concept is called "tobacco harm reduction", the idea is that by switching from smoking (the most harmful method of ingesting nicotine) for smokeless tobacco (which is about 98% safer--and that is scientifically proven) or e-cigarettes (assumed to be about or as safe as smokeless tobacco). The idea itself is based upon the concept that people smoke for nicotine but die from the tar, ash and other garbage in the smoke.

Hi,

A few days ago, I ordered an e-cigarette + e-liquid (10ml), just to try. (I don't want it to stop smoking, just to fool around with it). However, today I noticed that the e-liquid I bought is High in Nicotine (18mg/ml). I don't want to throw it away , so If I use it, and afterward I use nicotine free e-liquid, might I get addicted to nicotine?

I'd also like to know if you have any cheap link for nicotine free e-liquid.

Thanks!

PS: I am not a smoker.

There's no way to know if or how fast you could become addicted to nicotine. I know way back when I first tried smoking, the cravings started fast. You'd be taking one big gamble. You should toss it.

(Listen, no matter how much any liquid costs, long term addiction costs a more. A lot more. Trust me.)

Now, I don't know what you consider "cheap" but Mount Baker has a ton of liquids of different flavors running around $5 to $8 a bottle or so (for 15ml bottles), all of which can be ordered as "0 mg/ml". That is, no nicotine. They're over here: USA Made Nicotine Juice, E Juice, E Liquid, Electronic Cigarette Juice

NOT true. Its been found in studies that those with a disposition towards addiction can be hooked the first time they try ANY addictive substance or behavior that causes a chemical change in the brain. That can be sex, chocolate, illicit drugs, nicotine, alcohol etc.

If it took you personally several years to develop an addiction to nicotine from smoking cigarettes then your experience is atypical at best .......and also quite possibly involves a bit of denial on your part as well.

Can you PM me links to those studies? (for two reasons: 1. they could be ANTZ propaganda, 2. I want to check their methodology) All the studies I've seen seem to indicate that nicotine by itself is about as addictive as caffeine.

And yes that is my experience with nicotine and I have been said to have an addictive personality.

Not for all of us. My first cravings showed up in a matter of days.

There are some studies that suggest some of us are predisposed to seriously strong nicotine addiction. Considering how fast I became addicted, the nightmarishness of every quit attempt, and that only vaping (a substitute nicotine delivery method) got me to quit smoking... I'm pretty sure I'm one of them.

And there's no way to know ahead of time whether you're susceptible or not. You'll only know after it's too late.
