it's the one mike did for you, isn't it? btw even though he promised he has not been around much - hope all is well!

Sorry tibs definitely been busy, I've been vaping the same coil for like 2 months lol. I really am gonna try to build one of my tibs mods very soon. Mikes looks so good I can't even stand it. That's why I kept it so long, I was hoping he'd just forget about it and I could keep it. (Just kidding Mike, don't hit me)

So, my tibs LIPO has died yet another death. It happened while dry-firing coils to get them all nicely formed and situated on the deck. I was using the Turnigy 6000mah 1S batt. At first, no matter what wattage, the board reset after a split second or so. I did some re-soldering of any connections that looked weak and even removed the fuses that I'd soldered in line between the bullet connectors and boards. Now, the board won't even start-up; screen doesn't light up.

Any ideas or should I just contact Evolv?

My tibs dual is chuggin along, btw. :thumb:

DNA30 or 40?
Sounds like it "could" be low voltage.
Have you measured the voltage on the bat? Maybe the problem is the charger.
Have you measured it at the board?
Have you tried a different power supply, ie battery?

Still running a -30. Haven't been able to find my multimeter; it's disappeared since the last time I used it.

I'm thinking of just ponying up the retail cost for a -40 and possibly another 6000mah lipo if my current one is crapped out.

I would borrow a multimeter unless you just have upgrade fever.

There is a darn good chance that the only thing wrong is a $2 charger........
The USB connectors on those things are notorious for breaking.

so ....................... with mike's dna40 thread being closed soon where will everybody go to keep up with developments on the chip? :?:

btw i opted for the less conspicuous pilot xfine black to trace 'tibs by bap' ;) mike will have possession of it soon and is much better equipped than i to post a decent pic! :D
