Gee, I'm overwhelmed, thank you all. BUT, it's only been 1 year. Believe me, I never dreamed of not smoking cigarettes for a whole year was even a possibility just a year ago. I had smoked for 50 yrs or so, started in the 60's while in the military. Over the years I had tried quitting cold turkey, chantix, patches, hypnosis, etc. You guessed it, nothing worked.
Several years ago I tried an e-cig, the small cigarette like ones, lousy tasting, no battery life, and not cheap. Then a year ago I thought I'd give it a try again, so I stopped by a local smoke shop to see if they could help be out. I walked out with a vv battery, tank, and a bottle of juice, with instructions to come back in a week if I liked it and they would fix me up with other items I would need. I really liked the fact that the two employees took their time with me and did oversell (would have been real easy with my ignorance on the subject).
I also bought a pack of my brand of cigarettes, non filtered PallMalls and smoked 1 on the drive home, and 2 more waiting for the battery to fully charge. When everything was ready to go I tossed the cigarettes in the trash. Several hours latter I'm back at the trash can retrieving my cigarettes, Then I thought how stupid that was, so I crushed them up so there would be no possibility of smoking them.
I am somewhat amazed at how easy it was for me to actually quit, sure there were times that I really wanted a cig, but never strong enough to make me go out and actually buy a pack. One thing that did make it easier was that I found Nicoticket fairly early, ordered one 15ml bottle of The Virus and it was just so delicious I couldn't put it down. The best thing about it was that I could always taste something, with other juices it seemed like after a couple of toots the flavor just disappeared.
Again, thanks to all of you for being my support group, and to Clark & Co for being lifesavers....Mike
