Thanks for all the congrats. (and the hug). This forum has been a goldmine of information for me and has been the driving force for keeping me me vaping.

Now, I just need to stop lurking in the Shinyitis thread so I can keep the money I've saved....

I had to unsubscribe from it but I still see it when I click on the new posts link. I should probably put it on proper ignore so I don't see it there but then I still have to contend with other random new threads and all the youtube review channels I follow. The shiny struggle is real. Thankfully I only squonk now so that limits the shiny options.

After a few years, I've become the coolest and best looking member on ecf. My promise to all of you 'lesser thans' is that I vow to remain humble.

Actually my dog says she's cooler and better looking than your dog, but since you are definitely cooler and better looking than I am I'll concede this one Asbesotos.

Coming in second is rough though ... so I'm not going to remain humble. Consider yourself warned

:)

I switched to vaping around April fools in 2012, so this is right around my 6 year anniversary. It's been really great to have the ECF community along for the ride and I've benefited very greatly from that support and information sharing along the way. Kudos to every one of you who have helped me and stood by us all.

vape on my friends

Congrats to all the vapeversaries whether one year or 10 years! I recently passed my 7 year vapeversary.

I've recently passed the $25,000 saving mark and 100,000 cigarettes not smoked.

I still have most of my hardware. I throw nothing away, but do give away a bit.

The big milestone, like ppeeble said, is that I woke up this morning. I don't believe I would still be alive if it weren't for vaping. Every day, I am amazed at what an absolute miracle vaping is. And, so is ECF!

I know the content is a little iffy, but seeing this video was a milestone for me.
I had already been vaping for several years becoming increasingly frustrated with cartos and under-powered EGO type batteries. I saw this and my eyes and brain lit up. What are those batteries they are using? Make your own coils, is such a thing possible?? I was then on a mission to find out about RDAs and mechs.
Despite being internet literate I had not at that point considered using it to find out about new vaping gear. In fact it was not until a year later that I joined ECF after venting a battery. I think it was because in those first few years I was the only person I knew who vaped, and it felt like a big secret that no-one was in on. Little did I know that there was already a thriving sub-culture especially in the US and an active online vaping community. God bless ECF's little cotton socks.

Biggest milestone for me was squonking. I finally gave it a shot not quite a year ago yet and it changed the way I vape pretty dramatically. I think I've added more squonk mods and rdas to my collection in that time than the previous 4 years of accumulating vape stuff combined.

Next big one is DIY. I tried it a few years ago and was way too aggressive and impatient with it. This time around I'm being much more methodical with flavors and trying everything before I mix with it. I've even found I enjoy a lot of flavors just on their own. Also, mixing by weight makes it all so much easier! I'm at the point where I'm just going to vape through the commercial juice I have remaining and order more ingredients instead.

I started vaping in April 2010. Shortly after I started I noticed that my two PAD habit had become a pack every 3 days. That convinced me to try quitting smoking again. As long as my vape was there I didn't smoke, so I never felt like I needed to smoke again after beginning to vape. When the last pack was gone that was it. I never had a desire to smoke again. It's been a breeze. My Joye eGO got me off the cigs and it wasn't long after that I bought a Kayfun.

I don't plan to ever smoke again as long as there's vapor and I'm padding the stash to make sure the supplies are available.

Hopefully I've kept many folks on this forum safer, too. :)

That was the basis of my comment - you have. I count myself as one. In my early days and knowing nothing, you taught me a lot. Though after five years on here and more confident, I still try to not miss your posts.
I stopped by this thread by accident but wanted to say that I so agree with you CMD. Between @Baditude and @Mooch I learned so much about batteries and safety. Like you, I too try not to miss their posts.

Thank you @Mooch and @Baditude for all your hard work on behalf of vapers

Feb 1st was 3 years cigarette free..

Not too long ago made it through my first 20L tote of VG... Just mixing for friends and myself.. Thought this thing would last at least 4-5 years, nope.

Picked up a few liters of VG to last me until June when I'm going to be picking up another 20L of VG in person to avoid the 64$ delivery charge..
