Been vaping on my new (Pre-loved) Black mini...I love it so. Seems to me that battery life on the pre-loved one is not as good on the new one. I have no scientific data to back this up, it just feels like I've been swapping batteries more. I just cleaned all the heads with 91% iso (it's all I could find locally) and got a considerable amount of black off of the 510 head, but the positive battery head connection seemed pretty clean. I gave it a good iso scrub just in case and polished all the threads with noalox.

My batteries are all AW 700Mah 18350's, about 2-3 months old if not newer. I use a Pila charger from ProVape and always deplete them fully and then charge them fully between uses. My mini reads them at 4.2 - 4,1 whenever I put them in and check them before using. I do not have another mutilmeter to check them on.

So my questions are:

1. What should I expect from a 18350 battery in terms of life-span? I have heard 3-4 hours and then I have heard 6-7. Not sure what to believe but at least in my pre-loved mini, it seems closer to 3-4.

2. What else should I be doing to clean the Mini to get better battery life? Has anyone noticed better battery life after an iso bath?

3. Any other tips and tricks for preserving / extending battery life? (p.s. I know about pulling the battery once it starts to flash)

My Mini is a pre loved one too and I too have found the same battery life as you. I use 2- AW IMR 18350 and 2- Efest IMR 18350. Both have the same performance / battery life. I have also gone through all the same cleaning procedures weekly with the same results you are seeing. After a thorough cleaning it will last 4-5 hours but a few days later back to 3-4 hours. I can maybe squeeze out 6-7 hours after a cleaning with light use but that is few and far between. I just see it as that's the best it's going to get. Just for comparison I get the same results in my Semovar with the same batteries so I'm not fussing over it any longer.

You can't really measure it by the hours, as it depends on usage, not time. The rule of thumb, very, very general and somewhat optimistic, is that 100 mA should give you about 1 hr of moderate, low wattage, single-coil atty use (yeah, define moderate, I know ;)). Of course, if your wattage is high, the resistance of your atty is low, your amp drain is high etc, (if you're using dual coils) that estimate will have to be adjusted down.

I just follow ProVape's manual. You can download it from their site if you haven't already done so. I think they've covered everything and I trust them completely.

Do not let your batteries discharge completely. Top off early and top off often--it makes them happy and extends their life. Don't drain them by vaping on very high wattages, using very low resistance atties or using dual-coil atomizers.

I also Vape a preowned mini with carto tanks. I am getting about the same performance you are. The batts I got with the mini are also used and I have a crappy charger. One of the batts seems a little less robust.

I want longer lasting batteries. Main reason it got a replaceable battery VV in the first place.

I have ordered the extension cap and ordered a couple AW 18490s from Provapes. And a Nitecore Intelecharger I2 from RTDVapor.

I am hoping to get another 2 hours from those, we will see.

Use Nolox on the cap threads, this prevents oxidization and ensures good contact, so you have a good ground.
