... but I got curious as to what the top compartment looked like on the other side of the plastic disc in there. So I take a screw driver and give the brass screw a turn... OOOOPS!
That screw isn't screwed into anything up there. Its sawed off immediately on the other side of the plastic disc, a wire leading to one pin on the switch is soldered onto the nub of the brass screw jutting thru. So when I gave the screw a turn, I broke the soldered connection right off
Thankfully, I've managed to solder things back together again and reposition the plastic disc back up in the top compartment... and it's back in business again.
Anyway... fyi, if you're terminally curious like me... be careful.
