Hello ECF! I finally decided to cease my existence as a lurker and contribute to your wonderful forum...but first, I have a question or two: I'm in the process of building a mod that will have a wooden sleeve on top of the battery tube (for 18650's / brass). I figured 18.6mm would be a good ID for the tube after looking at the dimensions of numerous 18650 batteries. The problem is that I'd like to keep the OD to 22mm in order to have it be flush with your typical rda. That only leaves me with 1.7mm of thickness between both the brass wall and the wooden sleeve.
With all of that in mind, what do you all think the minimum acceptable thickness would be for a brass tube wall before the structural integrity of it would be compromised? The wooden sleeve should help give it some rigidity, and vise versa. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
