hi all
does anybody have problems with the prodigy v3 such as not firing & or firing very weak with hardly any vaper?
mine does it alot & i dont know what to do anymore.
i have adjusted ,cleaned, changed spacers etc,,, just seems to work & not work any given time.
i checked the same atomizers on another mode & their fine, i tested the batteries with a multimeter & their fine too.
any advice is welcome.
please note:i am a very experienced vaper & i know a lot about electronics but this one just does not give me a hint!!:facepalm:

Hi stv,
I know we're already discussed this topic by email and PM and it's a good idea to throw this question out there to others but it might reach more users if you posted on the actual puresmoker forum as you'd have all the US V3 owners looking there too, more likely to get more responses maybe?

stv,
We've had extensive discussions via both email and PM as you well know, and I have asked you to send it back so I can look at it but you have refused to do this.

As I said, if you are looking for responses from people with the same problem, you will be unlikely to get them on my forum as I have not had this issue reported by my customers, I suggested you try the actual PureSmoker forum.

I have to second sadtranz in that noalox directly on the end of the contact post does help with this issue. You may also benefit from a little noalox on the other end that touches the positive end of the battery. I can't see any reason for a defective part on the V3. Never really had an issue with mine other than the occassional need to sand and noalox the contact post. Make sure you are getting a full contact with the battery by testing the button's throw. You want the button to engage the battery about half way through and not fully bottoming out. If the button can almost touch the housing without firing the atty then you should add a washer under the contact screw.

Another possibility is your batteries could be damaged. Simply testing them with a multimeter may give you the voltage but the available amps could be not enough to fire the atty. I know this because I had a GG Grant owned by a friend at work that was doing this very thing. I tested the button's throw and it was fine, all contact points were cleaned and still had the issue, not firing at all. We then started looking at the batteries. I tested them with the multimeter and they read the correct voltage but would not fire the atty. We swapped them out with new batteries and voila it worked. That is what I feel your issue may be. Get some new batteries and try them. Be careful to keep them in pairs because that can also be a reason for this type of issue. If one battery has less capacity than the other then is has to work harder and will drain in a few minutes of use. I know this because when I first started using my Prodigy V1 with Tenergy batteries I got them mixed up and lost three pairs because they would only last about ten minutes. Once I started labeling them problem solved.

Hope this helps you out. I should also mention that posting this question on the PureSmoker forum would be the best way of getting more responses.
