I've had my Mistic for a little over a month, came with two batteries. Last week, within a day of each other, both batteries decided to just stop charging! I'm sure it's not the charger with a problem, since the light on it still turns on when the charger is plugged in. When I screw the batteries in, the LED doesn't light up and after leaving one on the charger for a day it still flashed at me when I tried vaping on it.
Anyone have any idea what could have caused this and what to do to avoid this problem in the future?
Also, anyone have any suggestions for some great quality PVs that will last a while and are fairly cheap? I'm currently working 10-15 hours a week at minimum wage and can't afford anything super expensive, but am looking to buy something better than the gas station/smoke shop/Walmart sold e-cigs. Not necessarily looking for one shaped like an analog, either. Anything that's good quality sounds great to me!

Well, the charger itself may still be good, but it sounds like the connector is bad. Either the connector on the charger or the connector on the PV. But I believe it is the charger connector.

I am not familiar with the Mistic set-up, but I have had the same problem with a Riva charger. The center contact on the charger gets pushed in from screwing the battery to it.

If your connector has a center post, see if you can pry it up just a hair. Maybe try one of those small jeweler's screwdrivers with the flat tip or something similar.

That would be a temporary fix, as it will get pushed in again after a few uses. Probably.

You are looking for a fairly inexpensive new PV with decent quality. Check out some of the Ego or Riva starter kits at
E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings

Just go with the standard Ego. Not the T or the C or whatever. Order some cartomizers (Boge) separately as most kits come with atomizers, unless stated otherwise. I think Liberty Flights does offer one Ego kit that comes with cartos. Also, don't ignore that 20% discount button. Click it first.

Other sites to look to compare prices and stuff: www.cignot.com and Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA

The latter two sell the Genuine Joye kits, which is a good thing.

Hard to beat the Mistic...especially if you are on a budget. I've been through Ego, 510's, Roughstacks, every carto/atty combination over the past 2 years.

Cheapest, most economical, AND satisfying solution (so far) has been Mistic battery paired with a 2.0 ohm Kanger horizontal carto refilled with my own DIY 50/50 eliquid.

All my mods have performed great when they get dialed in. But nothing is more just "pick up and go" without the all hassle than the Mistic. If the battery quits, I just pop into our local Sam's Club and get a replacement for $9 bucks (includes new charger and 2 cartos). Save the Mistic 3.0 cartos for a rainy day.

I have a couple Mistic's and they have a limited warranty for 1 year. Not sure how well it works. I'd take it to the store I bought it first and see if they replace it. Otherwise here's what's on their website. Hope that can work, let us know.

Mistic Limited Warranty Details

Subject to the conditions and limitations set forth on Mistic eCigs, Mistic's electronic cigarette is guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials if purchased from Mistic or an authorized Mistic dealer, for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Visit Mistic eCigs for more details.

Should any part of your Mistic ecig product fail to operate satisfactorily, return to Mistic for full replacement to:

7800 51st Street West
Rock Island, IL 61201

Please pack the unit securely and obtain appropriate shipping insurance. Include a full description of the defect or particulars of the claim, along with your return address, telephone number, and legible proof of purchase. The place of purchase, manufacturer or importer is not responsible for damage or loss incurred as a result of postal handling or damage caused during transit. Whenever possible send only the component in question, not the Mistic Kit as a whole.

It's also possible that the over-discharge protection/regulation is faulty, and caused the internal cells to reach a low voltage state. When a Li-Ion cell get's below a specific voltage, it is considered "damaged", and most Li-Ion chargers won't recharge it. There is a way to "jump start" the cells back to life, but I highly recommend against it...and the cell will be permanently compromised.

Do you have another battery that is known to be good, that you can test the charger with?
