1. Spring Break 1982 in Daytona. Met some folks from Jersey that played this song non-stop, and while I had heard it before, of course, it's been my favorite song ever since. Even wrote a term paper on it in College.

Great one! I love it. A real timeless tune! :toast:

2. The lyrics in this song are simply incredible. From the double entendre of the title (Objects in the Rear View Mirror are closer than they appear = you can't get away from your past), to my favorite song lyric of all time: "She used her body just like a bandage, she used my body just like a wound". The death of a close boyhood friend, an abusive father, the losing of one's virginity. All things that are never forgotten. Like hey happened yesterday, regardless of how far down the highway of life we travel. A song that's best played loud.

Good one Daleron! I like country...it always tells a good story! And Alabama is great. :)

Another song that brings back memories of my Lost Love... by an artist that we both had strong feelings for, whether it was his solo work, or with the band (Van der Graaf Generator).

I just realized that this was also released that same year (1978), but I didn't pick up the LP until much later, at a used vinyl store...

I adore this song..makes me feel peaceful. He had such a beautiful voice.

I'm not seeing the video... :(

Instead of using the 'share' link on Youtube, you might try just copying the link/URL and paste it in the little Filmstrip icon (Insert Video) here when you are under "Go Advanced"... :)

Why thank you so much Dale, I deeply appreciate the kind words about my pieces! :) Yep...I don't listen too much to the newer music at all. I'm still into the 80's music era myself. My mind is still 20, but my body disagrees! Boy...does it disagree.

    Thank you my Dear,

    Bri
